I've been playing bass for 2 years and THIS video was my starting place, I thank you so much Luke. I remember the day that I watched this video and played Seven Nation Army to my friends on discord…
I’m a decent to good guitarist, naturally I picked up a bass. And whoever said that it’s not the bass. Is crazy.. lol but yeah I wanna learn the right way. Technique , etc.
This is really cool. I just picked up a bass for the first time and this is all very clear. Big question, though: Can tou talk about right hand? I hear you dampening the string and making a percussive sound to dampen some notes. I'd love to know what you suggest for technique to play cleanly with the right hand. Thanks!
This tutorial is to hard and stupid
this is so not helpful
Funny irony. It's the best time in today's day and age now to learn to play am instrument. You can order a decent guitar and get free lessons online. Without ever leaving your home
i would say longveiw by greenday is a very good song if you want to impress
Dumb vid
You are a bad teacher
I'm at the stage in life where I really appreciate skill. Whether music, sport, medicine, building or whatever. Find something to do and be good at it. It's a wonderful thing. Learn one thing well. Don't dabble. Oh and I'm learning to play bass. Great job Luke.
Stanley Clarkes 'School Days' – 'nuff said.
Your video sucks you just hide your notes the whole time
Thanks!
I love the sound of a bass
Bites the dust is. Confusing

Feel Good, Inc is also a great first song to learn.

As an artist I just listen to the song and play the same chords 😅
Can’t wait to play this and yell I’m Rick James bitch 😂
#1. bass line= Money by Pink Floyd.
An iconic baseline from the '80s is Violent Femmes' 'Blister In The Sun'.
The theme from 'The Munsters' is cool too!
How the fuck do you turn substitute off..
tutorial starts at 2:18
Im retiring at the end of 2022 and have decided to learn how to play the bass for something to do since I wont be leaving the house everyday anymore. Even though I am an old guy, I think this will help keep my hands working! Im looking at at Cort C4 bass. Is this a good starter Bass? Thanks.
why tf do i have to subscribe to your email spam just to get some tabs bruhhh
Great video, maybe it’s a bit to complex to be put to beginner standards but I think for whom the bell tolls is a very iconic simple baseline as well
It doesn’t worked and I played the tabs on the screen but it sounds nothing like what your playing
I learned seven nation a different way that’s more easy for me on the A strong it’s just 7 7 10 7 5 3 2 repeat for the alternate that happens sometimes in the song it’s just 7 7 10 7 5 3 5 3 2
This is great but your moving to fast…when showing the notes….. slow down a bit….
Like why are you talking abt c string my brain isn’t working

Played bass for 4 5 years when I was a kid about 9 10, I'm now 28 with 2 kids and bored, Ive been thinking about taking it back up for a while after this I think I might just do that
I've just recently started to learn bass guitar, and the only instrument I've ever played was a recorder in 5th grade, but I was able to understand this, I'm so happy I found this video!
This video would be great with timestamps
Ngl I’m not using a bass it’s just my guitar tuned down
