There are 6 MAJOR mistakes men over 60 make when working out…
And in today's brand new video…
Live Anabolic trainer, John Shumate (who's almost 63 years old)…
Will take you through these common traps to avoid!
Almost 62. Doctors are terrible nutritionists…look around, everyone's fat! Watch the sugar….have A1C tested….diabetes sneaks up. Calories matter…quality calories count best. Intermittent fasting is great….don't over do it though. Also watch fats…I was shocked how much I actually consume…it can promote insulin sensitivity if consumed regularly with junk carbs.(Mastering Diabetes and others). Face pulls….love face pulls (AthleanX). Don't let tendinitis go unchecked for too long….stretch them out.
What happened to John Shumate? He no longer seems to be on upto date programmes?
Your body does not need carbohydrate. In fact, carbohydrate breaks down to glucose and overconsumption leads to diabetes.
I have been low carb (under 30g/day) for 1.5 years and now I am zero carbs/day for 6 months now.
I lost 60 lbs.
No longer on high blood pressure meds.
No longer taking insulin, My T2 diabetes is in remission.
Carbohydrates is NOT needed.
A lot of great nuggets thank you very much. Great video.
Sorry, you lost me at doctors know a lot about diet and nutrition. Not.
This is the best video I’ve seen on this topic. Thanks!
Thanks
Looking great at 62 my man!!
Wrong!! Stay away from the Doctor!!
Talk about CLICKBAIT! These are 6 common mistakes everyone makes before they start a new workout regimen. Some or none of them will apply to you.
It could be over in a split-second
Tried a testosterone patch, swelled up like a toad. Dr doesn’t know shit about diet
64 here. Eating carnivore, zero carbs. It’s amazing. Gaining bulk and much better energy.
Good advice video!!
you can indulge in some sugar dnt worry..
Having a lazy arse wife . .. great advice. Used to race
MX motorcycles, sports injuries. Have done two years of 1:1 training and PhD physical therapist for core training. Covid long term effects and systemic issues. Hips , knees . Great education. Feeling better after three years. No sugar or processed foods. My mom s 97 years old. She said you can not expect to stay healthy if not investing in your health daily . Posture , stronger glutes. EXCELLENT. Glad I found you. I want more definition and stay the same weight .
Worst mistake…..Wearing sissy gloves.😆
Another HUGE mistake is wearing dirty, slimey, sweaty lifting gloves
Here's the thing – when someone here on YouTube presents a bodybuilding training video giving ADVICE… You absolutely must look at their physique and say "OK, obviously this person is 'taking their own advice' and this is the result." Certainly, that's obvious and fair to say. Now, genetics play a role, but, all things being equal, when you look at someone's physique, you're looking at the result of their choices, and if they're here on YouTube making advice videos, then you're looking right at the results of their advice. In the case of this man, what I see here is a well conditioned, buff man of his age. I DO NOT SEE A "BODYBUILDER" (natural, or otherwise). I see a very toned, somewhat muscular guy. I'm sorry, but if you're making bodybuilding videos (especially with a title like "Live Anabolic") then you need to be showing more mass than this. I'm not saying you need to be huge… but definitely, you need about 20 more lbs of muscle than this man has achieved. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh or mean – I don't intend it that way – but this guy just does NOT have the goods to be flinging advice for being anything other than having a toned, well conditioned appearance. I wouldn't follow his advice. There are older guys who are bigger AND natural (ie, no PED's) who clearly have better advice to give, based on their achievements and results. With that in mind, I'm going to add one more WORST MISTAKE: #7 – taking advice from people who aren't exemplifying what they're selling.
Got to disagree on the carbs, if you can transition into a fat adapted state via Keto, your energy levels will be just fine. Plus carbs will slow down any weight loss you’re after which is the primary goal for a lot of us.
