Hey Scott, my sister is very over weight and she in the past has had some back surgery and recently in the last 12 months had a hip replacement. My question is, what exercise can/could she do to lose weight in legs and butt ?. Can you suggest any videos on her to help her with this?. For she is worried not to hurt hip or back but seriously needs to lose weight.

THANK YOU! ! I've been in several boot camps but they seem to think we're all a size 2 and all at the same fitness level. I got through it but didn't get real results because I had to keep stopping.

This is an amazing find for me. I kept looking for beginner workout as I am larger and am just getting into exercise after losing 78lbs (with more to go) but all of the ones I found were not suitable for someone who was going from practically no exercise to starting out. This was super helpful. I just did it for the first time, but instead of the 30 seconds, I did each for a minute and didn't have as much of a breather.. I can't wait to do this often and build up my fitness levels so that I can do things more intensely. 🙂

Loved the workout! It's so important for everybody to stay healthy and fit. Those who have not worked out in awhile should take gradual steps to this healthier lifestyle.

I'm plus size. I am also a dancer. I'm not obese. But I am not fit either. The smallest I could probably get is a large. Not all plus size.people need a lazy exercise…. I run, box, and dance. Not all plus size.people are lazy.

Thank you so much for this video! And for being so kind. I found out I was 311 pounds last Thursday and I was shocked. I have made an apt with a dietitian but its not for another 2 weeks so until then I wish to take matters into my own hands. Thanks again.

Sure is right. we must kill the bad fat and belly first to get the 6 pack. Listen in a best female model 2012 exclusive interview she had mentioned about her strong abs with this 7 food items. you can see it here bit.ly/14SrrS5?=grffi

Yes, you can be overweight and in 'good' condition. It sounds like you can push things harder and try a more aggressive workout.

You could ride a recumbent bike for starters. Why not use weights? It's one of the best things that you could do for yourself.

Thank so much for the encouragement. Most trainers don't have a clue how hard it is to get started when carrying a lot of extra weight. Regular fitness classes are so discouraging. You seem to have a really good grasp of what we're up against. So nice to have a realistic starting point.

I getting ready to start at a gym and I don't want to end up in a full body case. What should I do so I won't end up in so much pain afterwards? Thanx. I am a female, 5'9.5 and roughly 245 lbs. I've lost 20 lbs over the past weeks doing one of 6 different zumba dvds (plus one other dance dvd) twice a day. I also walk most nights and do pushups and crunch variations 3-7 days a week. Is this enough variation in my workout, or if I keep doing just this workout, will I be at risk of plateau?

Thank you so much for posting this…all the other videos that came up in my search for exercise for the obese just had lots of talking. You showed concrete examples! I love it! I have 300 lbs to lose and can't do anything on the floor or on my back. Even walking for more than 5 minutes or so is very painful. Please post more!! I really, really, really, really appreciate it!

Great video. Thank you for posting it. My mom and I are both trying to loose weight. Someone gave us an 'easy' workout dvd. We tried it… It might be easy for someone who doesn't have knee and back problems but not for a really large person, I couldn't make it through 2 min at the pace they had. So, again, thank you for some good truly beginner exercises.
