Not for beginners, Hindu pushup presupposes quite a bit of strength
The best exercises for men over 50 are the same ones as the ones for men under 50. The difference is that you may be starting from a less fit starting point, but exercise is exercise and the principles of muscle growth and cardiovascular fitness are the same at any age.

50 i was great even when i was 57 still no problem working out and running 3 miles 4 days a week. 62 its getting a bit tuff

50 is not exactly so young, after all, and age is age.
Seriously, Get your as— in the gym. Just because one is 50, doesn't mean you have to stretch and do pull downs on a couch. The same exercises you see the younger guys do, people in their 50's can do. Adjust accordingly to injuries and such. Lift weights and build muscle. Eat protein, get your bloodwork done regularly and don't listen to this doucher..
