Very much useful. Precise information without any extra talk. Great work ❤️
I can’t understand how your topspin serve is topspin. Your hand is going down
Who needs a coach when you have Tom!
Literally better than what any beginner coach would teach me, thanks a lot
Brillant video thanks I had a match last night which i posted on here Bappy vs Nusan that was serving with pen hold everytime I put it in net any advise please ?
How about the young man returning the serves?
Great video; well explained! Thank you.
It becomes apparent when you try to teach these things how tuned you become to the physics as you progress. I mean as good as the advice is you're still having to leave wide gaps in the narrative as to how much to angle the racket for the myriad of shots you're likely to face.
There is no substitute for the value of a vast amount of practice and experience.
Many people seem to think that this game requires extremely fast reflexes but i think that anticipation plays a bigger role.
A good generic video for intimidate players.
For more advanced returns, particularly when facing a heavy backspin if you can manage to return it with a heavy topspin you're in a good place to rattle your opponent and gain control of the point.
Back to very basics, superb
I always love to come back to your channel, thank you very much🤩 Jörg from Augsburg
Legend tutor
Thank you very much. Very informative and clear.
I will try to apply this in eleven VR 😀
A big Kudos to Tom!感谢
One of the best videos ever I have came across. It helped me in my initial days . Lot of credit to U TOM for my improvement. Thank u very much and keep the good work going 👍
Hi Tom, useful tips. I think that your strengths & weaknesses of play also depends on your opponents play. I struggle with strong "blocker" who is also good and returning using wide angles. My strength is forehand and backhand topspin returns but would like to get more spin on these returns so I'm not relying on speed and position. I can get points from my serve variation too. Hope this comment is useful. Martin
Thank you so much coach 😊
Nice video
This is very basic stuff.
I don't think anyone would consider themselves intermediary level without already knowing this stuff.
You talk too much instead of going straight to actions .
I cant wait to start playing again. Wish i knew this way back. Awesome content
Thanks for your video
Very useful Thanks
Terimakasih videonya sangat bermanfaat
Sir which rubber is best for tt racket
thankyou brother
🔥🔥🔥
Bro, if you hit the ball at the top part, that's Top spin.
If you hit the ball at bottom part, that's under spin.
And, lastly, if you hit the ball on the side, that's side spin.
Amazing teacher! So ludicrous but, at the same time, instructive! I've just discovered your channel and already seeing all of your videos. Thx for all the good advices!
Thanks
Guilty of 4 of those Tom!
İ will try to win a cup tomorrow in a race. There will be 50 or 55 person and im looking for videos how can i be better. Very useful tips in this video thank you sir👏
Thank you for the video. It’s obviously helped a lot of people. One thing I don’t understand though is how to know what kind of serve is coming toward you. I guess experienced players will recognize the server’s movement, but I’ve watched this video a bunch of times, and the backspin serve and topspin serve still look the same to me (when they’re being served). And side spin looks the same too! The only way I can tell the difference is by what happens after the return, and by then it’s too late. What am I missing?
So for backspin just push the ball and for topspin
How about top spin with backspin?
Great explanation
i don't understand what you mean with possitive stroke on the returning of sidespin, can you make a video or explain, what is need to do in the stroke and what not. Sorry if you don't understand the question, I'm learning english
Excellent guidance for a beginner and intermediate player…Kudos Tom 👍
Top notch ! just started TT on a local club, only played when i was 10 to 13 yo at school, and a bit of school competiton. Yesterday Old TT players were giving me a hard time only on serves, and effects everywhere… was hard to engage an exchange, when i did , i could develope my game, but boy thoses serves…. grrrr! Thankfully the coach took me appart and showed me some things at the end of the session, and your video is awsome, cant wait to return serves!
great video
Great lesson and thank you. After watching this yesterday I was finally able to return my son's new well-honed tricky serves with consistency, bothering him no end. Very satisfying it was! Cheers from Sydney – Dave
👌👌
Excellent advice to win games against strong opponent 12:00 to 12:30
The video has answered my exact problem. Now time to try it out
Thanks
This is a bit outdated since nowadays side spins serve and chops gaining prominence and the main method of attacking a serve is banana flicks which ignores most of the top and backspin and interact with side spin instead. What I mean by outdated is little kids trained at banana flick and some even forgo backhand flick all together since flick is more aggressive and supposedly consistent.
Thankyu for yiur explenatin, so much help me… 🙏
Thank you
It’s basically just: return backspin with backspin. Return top spin with top spin return side spin with down spin or top spin
Returning agressive spinny serve : the method works 100 % But how to return very weak very spinny serve , one you cant hit hard because it is low , slow , barely passing over the net. …a nightmare confronting a very experienced player …need to beat his serve..
Thank you very much from turkey
