I've always been a vegetarian. Thanks this was super helpful! My doctor wanted me to try keto for weightloss. She doesn't understand vegetarian at all. She was like just add bacon grease to your green beans… ummm. haha no.
I had to go vegetarian due to religious reasons (I’m Muslim and there’s no halal meat where I live) so this video helped a lot!

I did normal keto a few years ago, but recently decided to switch to a vegetarian diet. It's great to know that it is possible to combine the two diets so that you get the best of both worlds.
I am already eating vegetarian eith low fat cheese and moderate egg yolks, this would be super restrictive for me 🥴

This is how I eat, mostly. But I also eat fish and shellfish. I'm a pescatarian.
I’m vegan except for the occasional feta. It hard where I live to get good quality avocados so I rely more on coconut. Milk. Cream. I use a lot of tofu. I’m in Japan.
I’ve done great on Keto for years; but, now I have a daughter visiting that is Vegan, but allows fish and eggs. BUT, she is allergic to avocado, coconut, all nuts, and added stomach mess up to salads. I want to help her enjoy her visit and follow Keto+her allergy ridden vegan and am going “nuts” researching recipes within this strict problem. Thanks for your videos.
I’ve never eaten meat, I find it revolting and so I thought a keto diet was incompatible with my non negotiable vegetarianism. (Many fam members used everything from disappointment to threats to try and make me eat meat as a kid. Only made me pathological about it.) When I got sick after having a baby my sister got me to include chicken stock in food and that’s the closest I can come to eating meat. I also went gluten free and even stopped eating oats bc I found I cut my symptoms in half. But the foods that I’m finding the hardest to give up are rice (I love a sticky jasmine rice), sweet potatoes and beans. One of my fav meals is literally a sweet potato, blk bean Mexican rice. I only feel hungry about once a day, but when I do get hungry I’m ravenous and want beans and rice with cheese. It’s a childhood comfort food. My mom worried about me getting enough protein and would feed me lots of beans and rice. So that’s a tough one. I’m exhausted just thinking about changing my diet again, but I never fully recovered from my illness and it’s gotten worse lately. My fam has a tendency towards high blood sugar, even my sister who eats incredibly healthy, with little sugar or even much in the way of carbs, has high blood sugar. This is a woman who eats kimchi and other probiotics with every meal. She eats kale and chard or spinach every am. She started cutting carbs and all sugar, moving to a more keto type diet, and almost immediately lost weight and saw her sugar and cholesterol levels drop. It got me rethinking keto, especially when she said she was able to do it without eating much meat. I am intimidated though. I also have a child who bc she had to be put on an elimination diet when she was young bc of eczema and severe allergies, gets upset when I bring up a diet change. But she also worries about me a lot and wants me to get better. Anyways I’m glad there are vids like this. Though I think I’m going to have to get over my aversion to avocados, mushrooms and tofu bc I can’t just eat eggs as a protein source. To much egg make me feel sick to my stomach. But at least it’s just aversion with those foods and not the pathological revulsion I feel towards meat.

My mom is on a vegetarian diet and I've been trying to get her to go on keto. Problem is she doesn't like care for cheese, eggs, tofu, fruit, most of the oils you mentioned. She does way too many carbs on average but she has eliminated the junk food at least and I've been sharing my avocados with her every day and pistachios. Little by little she is making positive changes and cut back on her portion sizes and no second helpings.
By far my favorite keto yt channel, and believe me I have watched a LOT!!!

It does not make sense to me to cut out a healthy food such as sweet potato or lentils to name a few… Would it not be possible to just eat a smaller portion in relation to the amount of fat and protein available in the meal?
Remember to soak those nuts to deactivate the phytic acid

I've lost 93lbs on keto veggie. Still a way to go, need to stop baking keto goodies that are very high calorie.

This is what I want to do. It’s easy to lose weight on keto. I lost 42 lbs that way. I have been playing around with being a vegetarian for two weeks and have lost 7lbs so far but I want to combine both
