So in fact you didn't answer the question how many sets how many reps was the question
Great advice
I've recently started to do workout again, after several years of health problems and i'm exactly at the point Skip described at the beginning. So many ppl. recommending different things, i'm super confused, especially since many aspects seem to have changed over the years.
To me it seems that Muscle regeneration isn't a big thing anymore and ppl. recommending huge volume workout plans, that i would have never touched back then.
I'm super confused tbh.
Thank you very much. You gave your number in a previous video, and I realized that your in my neighborhood. Is your Gym opened to the public?
Beautiful Skip, gotta question for ya….Are you a "Brutha"? You look like you be black! No matter what, you are the bomb!!
I am a man 65 years old and I’ve been fooling around with weights since I was 18 years old on and off I’ve started weight training 4 months ago as I have more time now and it’s fun for me thanks for the older man’s advice
What about a video for middle aged men who train but have old shoulder back and knee injuries ….old thorn biceps shoulder and back muscles ….. from our younger days of training….now that we are getting older …. plenty aches and pain ….what advice would you offer to men
Thanks for the video, I learned a lot
thank you for your advice.
Do you have exercise routines available? How about meal plans? Will pay$$ I'm training but trying to make progress in several exercises, esp. pullups. I do sets to failure. But suspect I don't do the right range of sets per week, or don't train each body part at the best frequency (daily, weekly). Could use some answers on these areas.
I've been sitting on my couch watching your videos for over 2 hours now. I should be training.. it's getting late and I still have paperwork to do… Losing motivation fast….
And I still have to edit video from last year to upload to my other YouTube channel
Thank you for reminding me of these principles!
Right on, Skip. Right on. I just turned 50. I've been lifting consistently for about 5 years. I'm disabled and have lots of mobility issues, but I do what I can. My default is the "Golden Six." I revert back to it and change it around every 5-6 weeks or so. I've added on around 25 pounds of muscle,, but due to my health, I have too much downtime in between. I'm not healthy enough to do a push/pull split and doing a 3 day a week routine of compound movements,, it seems to work. I do like having split routines, I just physically can not handle it anymore. I had another cardiac "reminder" 3 week ago, a week after my doctor told me to workout less… He wants me to go to the gym more often but down to less than 30 minutes. Right now I'm at anywhere between 7-9 movements and my time in the gym is around 45 minutes – 1hour and 10. I have to get my weight down. In my case, whenever my body is over 190, I'm physically not able to handle it. Even though I'm the strongest I've been even during my high school years, and my BMI is the lowest it's been in decades, my body is just stressed from several near deaths. I share this with you because I'm sure there must be others out there that come to you and have the same questions. And like what you've discussed here, we have to feel out bodies. One day at a time! You rock, Skip. Thank you again, man!
thanks for this coach it helps me lot..actually it doesnt matter to me the reps and how many sets ill do as long i workout 1hr 6 days a week..actually i wanna ask how many hours will i do training?
Thanks for the info Skip. I'm 46 and I've been out of the gym for a couple of years because of a shoulder injury. I'm healed and I'm ready to go! Many thanks to you brother!!
Thank you Coach! 👌
