I just bought a fitness workout and nutrition program tailored to my needs and I was quite surprised to see that my new diet consists of 500g of chicken breast per day! That’s just insane.
Just eat burger patties, chicken legs or pork chops instead of just dry and low calorie (low vitamin and minerals) chicken breast… Or add cheese

Peanut butter, bananas, white rice, red meat, whole eggs… plus veg of course. However, people need to stop trying to get big when it's genetically impossible without gear and PED's! Sure you CAN get BIG when natty, but you'll just look fat!!

I don’t agree with “if you are stuck eating 500 cal above maintenance, add 500 cal”. 100 kcal at a time would be a better option. My opinion and experience.
You’ll gain a ton of fat with this formula. With every 3300 kCal (around it)surplus you are going to gain a pound of weight. With an addition of 500KCal a day, it’s going to be around 12 pounds in 3 months. An already training person can barely gain half of the weight as muscle in such a small frame of time. The rest is going to be fat for sure. Scale it up to a year and it’s about 50 pounds and you’ll be genetically elite if you have 20 pounds of that as muscle. A flat 30 pounds of fat gain. Depending on your genetics, age, metabolism, body type, experience of training etc it can scale even upto 40-45 pounds of fat. That’s enough to make you an obese. I’m not a scientist or a nutritionist, but this is a very basic thing to understand. I would not recommend this formula of rapid caloric surplus to this big a quantity unless you are very new to training and very young and even if so, not more than 6 months(maximum).
And yes, you could be eating only isolate protein for that amount of calories. You’ll still fat.
Not as straightforward as it sounds. Muscle gaining doesn’t work as mathematics. You wouldn’t gain the same lean mass every week. It decreases with time. But fat gain is rapidly faster once it gets going.
(Please note: this comment is strictly for the first segment of the video;ie, the analogy of adding 500/1000 kCal of caloric surplus everyday.)

If you're at what you think is 500 over your maintenance and you're not gaining don't just add another 500 calories that's crazy. Add maybe another 200 and see how that goes. Going up in 500 calorie blocks is a great way to get fat.
I’m on a low phosphate/potassium diet due to chronic kidney disease. I spent 7 weeks in hospital between March & May this year & my weight dropped to 10 stone (140lbs). Using Nestlé Cal Shot & enSure protein drinks I’ve managed to get up to 11 stone, but I want to start using resistance bands to rebuild strength lost due to 7 weeks muscle wastage. Never done body building or followed a diet plan because I’ve always been a slim built guy. Also, I have to regulate protein intake because my kidneys can’t process too much protein either. I feel kinda stuck in some ways. 😥

You could always dirty bulk and then cut after, you retain muscle more easily dirty bulking, even though your cut will be harder.
