I am addicted to sugar. I have quit sugar once before. I felt amazing, then slowly slipped back. I am going to try again.
Does anyone agree? Urine turns almost clear. Weight loss. Less frequent need to go to bathroom. Less eating between meals. Finally the roller coaster of sugar highs and crashes have ended, also the fatigue or low energy don’t occur anymore!
I know I've gone like a month without added sugar, and then I hit up a Snickers and I sensed my brain freezing and it felt like it was shrinking. And then I got down the rabbit hole of eating sweets and didn't feel it anymore, just numbing. But when you stop with sugar, it really gives you more well distributed energy levels through the day instead of hyping you up and getting sugar crashed after a couple hours
Thank you so much, Ali for sharing this. Added sugar I feel is in the same catogery as drugs, alcohol. Its poison. I also allow myself a little bit of sugar in ketchup etc, and I use fruit to get through the craving period. But the cake, candy etc is just really, really bad for the body and mind. Keep sharing!
We like how informative your videos! No drama!
You are looking Indian…….😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
So today 19/05/2023 I'm gonna stop eating junk and sugar food. Let's see how it goes. I'll update about my progress.❤
24th of May and I'm still on🥰 i feel confident about not eating sugar and any junk food. Yesterday my family ate pizza but I was glad to not eat it that too🙊 being such a big junk eater and now saying no it and having control makes me feel so sooo good❤.
sugar is addictive
Awesome story thanks!
Thts great man, a nice experiment u did !
Things I've noticed about anti-sugar people:
1) They consume caffeine
2) They consume alcohol (more calories than sugar)
3) They prefer salt anyway and eat too much of it
4) They eat greasy foods
A MONTH?!?! Cries in fat girl
Everyone who says they quit sugar are always slim and their face looks bright with no eye bags lol. Giving it a go!
Had me at 4:57 😂
I want to leave tea, But can't
I respect you for doing this. That like toxic people, you learn that not everyone who comes into your life is meant to be in your life. God is good.
Imagine how much money we would save too
I found and subbed Ali Abdaal's channel last week and today yours.
LOL feels good to be someone who doesn't even like sugar/sweets. I have never been a fan of sugar and sweets for some reason, so sugar and sugar related issues have never been a problem to me. And I don't consume much processed food either. Which is probably why I've always been slim and people often say I look much younger than my age (like a teenager).
So whenever I do eat something sweet occasionally, the amount of sugar that's usually put into everything (like a cake, or even cookies and chocolate) hits me like a ton of bricks. I just can't stand it beyond a few bites, probably because my body hasn't gotten desensitized to sugar from constantly consuming huge quantities of it on a daily basis.
alright this is so weird but I know the guy on minute 2:24! from san isidro market in costa rica
😀
I stopped sugar and overall junk food in November (now being the end of April) and for me the biggest difference comes in not feeling the need to snack. I just eat two or three times a day, and in the rest of the time I dont think about food at all, like at all. There is no chance somebody sill convince me to eat a slice of cake or a bag of chips ever again. They just dont look tasty to me anymore. Its very strange feeling of a freedom.
white bread full f bad sugar tho right?
It’s 9:45pm in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Thank you for sharing your experience about quitting all added sugars! I found it very helpful as I have been thinking of going that way as well.
In John 10:30, Jesus said, "I and the Father are one," directly linking Himself with God the Father and thus claiming deity. Jesus is King follow him, God bless you, Jesus is Lord of lords and King of kings and don't say God's name in vain search it up if u don't know what it means
1:47 this is not true, the average does not necessarily imply that half are eating more. That is only true for the median.
Give all money govt has or don't talk to me
I’ve even just reduced down to 85% dark chocolate and most other sugary foods really makes me sick and tastes too strongly.
I quit white sugar for last 8 months.
This is an excellent video. Fifteen years ago, I sugar fasted for about 2.5 years. I felt amazing- and my doctor didn't believe it was due to no added sugars, but my cholesterol went down. For unknown reasons, I started eating sugar again and boom-! My cholesterol went up
again. It's early days, only 1.5 weeks, but I'm off it again and I want to stay off forever.
I can't handle refined sugar, and salty oily junk. I have learned to bake desserts with whole grain flours and sweetened with fruit – mainly dates. We also make our own frozen "ice cream" at home using dates. It makes all the difference. Excess salt is also difficult to kick because it's in everything.
How would you drink coffee, tea, etc without Sugar? What about Stevia Sugar?
After seeing your journey,it helped me to let go of the sweets. I don't have anyone around me who did the same. So it was challenging. Me and my friend live together and she had so much sweets around. I slipped couple times, but I didn't judge myself. I can say now I am 3 months on this path and I love it! I have much more energy. And sometimes I don't know what to do with it. 😁But I love wake up at morning and just not feeling tired. I been always very easily angry and felt so pissed on every single thing.I can't blame the sweets for all of it. I did start observing my Friend how she react with sweets and I did told her how I feel after eating sweets and she felt the same and start reducing it. I am happy I decided I am doing it! I feel much more happy and yes. It's a journey. Years ago I did throw sweets to garbage and pick them up back. That much I been so merge with it. I did it even though I felt it's enough, but I was pushing hard to it.But it was one of my past chapters. And I don't feel shame about it. Thank you for sharing your journey
Doesn’t really get to the subject of the video until the last minute.
I should start eating sugar, im not gaining weight
Next do 1 year with no micro plastic intake 😂😂 spoiler alert, it’s impossible it’s in the air food and water! We’re all f’d !!! HEX coin $0.07 PZEN coin $0.0046
I am doing this now. Drinking lemon water helps curbs the cravings. I use ketchup that is all natural. No added high fructose corn syrup or anything else. Also no soda. I found a prebiotic carbonated beverage that tastes good and has 4 grams of sugar with apple cider vinegar. I love it! Never going back. This is a lifestyle change.
Well I think that’s awesome I think you did a fabulous job and you’re so inspiring because I am wanting to stop the sugar and I really was inspired by your video so thank you so much for sharing I think you should keep up the good work for yourself you’ll be healthier in the long run😁👍💕
71 yo male. Leaving the added and factory sugar addiction helped me go from 102 kg/224 lbs to 80 kg/176 lbs.
I box/Muay Thai for an hour ×3 days per week. Weight training put muscle on my thin frame and people favorably commented about how I have changed.
Sweets are a rare treat and soda pop is banned. More energy, younger looking with better skin and better sleep. Best wishes everyone.
How did you give up sugar, it's in everything
Thank you for making this video. What interested me the most about your experience was the physiological and psychological changes.
When people say quit sugar, does this mean they quit natural fruit, as well?
After a year, I hope he didn't return to sugar. Sugar is horrible. It's not just Americans. Have you seen the pastry menu in all other countries?
Not me watching this as I eat cookies
I have quit sugar for 20days and i lost 3kg without any exercise
To quit sugar in the US means emigrating.
Awesome! Thanks for shatlring!
What brands you used for good items, what you ate? Please share a video. It’s challenging to find quit sugar breakfast lunch dinner because in most items there is always some percentage of sugar
I've meaning to do this sincn I got to know this concept.
Now I would like to finally give it a try, but with a gradual approach(I want to this challenge to be sustainable, not necessarily drastic and overnight!).
For the next one month, I'm going to avoid sugar in the morning, which means first 12hours in a day. I will come back here and tell you how things change, and if I want to extend the challenge. See you in a month:)
Just what I needed to hear thank you for your hard core discipline ❤
Inspiring story thank u 🙏
