This whole time I thought I was just poor. Come to find out I've been intermittent fasting for the last 5 years
I eliminated all symptoms of 40+ years of hypoglycemia thru IF and low carb/sugar eating habits. I had tried most "healthy" diets and already ate only low amounts of sugar. It's changed my life! I eat between 11 am and 4 pm. I've done 4 day prolonged fast with no drop in energy levels. Amazing!
She said nothing useful. How much to eat during the 8 hours. How often during that period? Every overweight patient of mine consumes too many calories per meal
Why always skipping breakfast. I don't understand. I love breakfast. Why not skip dinner.

Having practiced IF myself, I can attest to the benefits you get from it. I swear you get a natural high from IF…and I'm not even trying to achieve it. Autophagy is my go to all day long if not all week-long, :)…it's a lifestyle, not a diet though, 🙂

Love this! I have been doing a 16:8 fast for three weeks now but on Sundays now I’ve added a 24 hour fast 💕. Love to see more information is being given about IF and it’s benefits.
And dinner when work is over. I am 72 and WFH in IT is a real boon. Gives me structure in my life & keeps me sharp & engaged. Physical exercise & Meditation regularly helps a great deal – whatever suits U.
She had me with " If you were told breakfast is the most important meal of the day that was wrong." I stupidly listen to trainers, friends, colleagues and started eating breakfast every day. I gained 25 pounds in 2 years. I didn't put it together until one day it just hit me that I was automatically reaching for cereal, oatmeal, eggs or whatever in the morning when I was even hungry. Yet actually had become a habit. I was thin most of my life but gained weight in my 40's. Of course I did! My metabolism was slowing down because I was nearing menopause. ("Clark"is a family nickname, I'm a chick, lol) What I should have been doing was exercising more, or exercising the same amount but do some in the morning and summit night to keep my metabolism going. It took me forever to figure out what I've done wrong and make some changes. I mean literally by then I was 50 and really putting on weight in places I never had before period it took a while but I did it. But I would like to tell everybody that if you are not a breakfast person, or never work, don't listen to anybody else! if you're not hungry don't eat!

I refuse to fast, but I have always felt best eating three solid meals and no snacks. Sometimes, like at a baseball game, snacks are my meal and that is perfectly fine. About 3500 calories a day, treats included, plus daily workouts is my recipe for success

I am 58 yo, I have been IF all my life ( first because my parents did not have money, and now I am a medical professional and I IF by choice). I do not have any medical condition, I do not need to take any medication or hav been hospitalized, no broken bones either>
