      It blows my mind that so many people NEVER think about or consider the fact that what they're putting into their bodies through eating, actually effects you!!?? Seriously?? You're feeding yourself every single day, multiple times a day, stuff that is no longer pure. Why WOULDN'T everyone consider diet as a factor to their health? And if people think that idea is stupid—they're ignorant and unintelligent.

      A small percentage of humans NEEED meat. I`m vegan and not a single health issue for years. And just hypothetical: if meat was the healthiest diet could we afford it ethically and oecologically? Of course not. Maximum health can`t legit this world going tits up nor the suffering of billions of animals each year. This is soo anthropocentric arrogant it`s unbelievable. But Peterson is hard to beat as a hypocrit…everyone must have realized that.

      I don’t understand the constant apologies for anecdotal evidence.

      The first rule of any sort of “science“ is based upon “observation“ which in and of itself is pure anecdotal evidence as if it doesn’t count.

      Perhaps, The layering of fat is an ADAPTATION to toxic foods.

      Fat is just “stored food”.

      Perhaps the body adapts to the intake of problematic foods by quickly processing it all into stored food & eliminating the rest.

      That’s perhaps why people who watch what they eat, do a OMaD & follow a strict guidelines diet protocol STILL have high triglycerides & a layer of fat including a “belly”.

      As an RD in my 60’s? (UIC ‘83 Biology & Nutritive Sciences) That is what I am dealing with.

      * Arthritis in my knees
      * Gingivitis (never & not 1 cavities because I stay the hell away from sugar)
      * Depression
      * Snoring
      * Sleep apnea
      * Psoriasis
      * Gastrointestinal problems (after 6 surgeries & still problems)
      * Low energy/lethargy
      * Excess Weight

      Oh yes, forgot to mention? Vegan-Vegetarian since ‘83.

      Can’t stomach the idea of eating meat but that may be the only thing that’s going to help as is the case with Dr. Peterson.

      Odd also is I’m Quebecois Canadienne as opposed to Saskatoonian Canadian as Dr. Peterson is.

      Anyone who does bodybuilding will tell you that eating a strictly carnivorous diet is the healthiest and most successful way to lose fat and gain muscle. I am a middle aged woman, was morbidly obese, and went on a carnivore diet eating less than 10 carbs a day. I lost over 100 lbs in a year and was the healthiest I’ve ever been. It’s just difficult to stay eating that way because high carb foods “taste” good. You have to just keep doing it and not cheat on the diet, not even a little, and you will be the healthiest you have ever been.

      I get the results by intermittent fast and eat a low carb diet. As soon as I eat pizza or any type of bread, I feel tired and my joints are sore.

      It totally makes sense to me since I’ve been doing this for 2.5 weeks and I don’t get hungry.. I eat 2 meals a day because I have to but not while hungry.. and I based it on around 1.5 lbs of meat a day in one meal.. the other one is a mixture between eggs and deli meats I had lost 6 lbs in weight already with not exercise.. I got to start today with my exercises today but I gained a little bit of more muscular structure

      The chemicals we sprayed (crop duster here) on the crops literally disolved the tennis shoes soles that I was wearing and stepping in the chemicals upon refilling each load. I would load out
      3 or 4 times a day. Which means I had to land the airplane and step in the chemicals while they were loading the chemicals. It is not the food itself so much as the chemicals on the plants
      that are sprayed on the plants, crops.
      I refuse to eat anything except beef, himalayan salt, water and ghee. That is all I eat and I am in perfect health.

      I'm on the carnivore diet. Before I was though, I removed bread, baked goods and sugar from my diet and added All Bran to my diet for a year. I lost 50 lbs. From 205 to 155 @ 5'4. I did this so that I could get off my cholesterol medication (creator 10mg) and because I had diverticulosis. A week ago I went full carnivor no cheating. In that week I lost 5 lbs. I poop way less, my IBS is gone, and when I wipe, there's nothing there. I don't need to eat as much food by far to feel satisfied. I'm continuing this for at least a few months and see where it goes. But I feel fantastic.

      As a vegan, my diet obviously is the complete opposite. I lost 66 pounds during my diet, and during my life I of course also was a meat-eater, dairy eater etc. Now, I also only sleep 6 hrs maximum. And I can tell you that Dr. Petersons expierience is probably not related to meat at all but to some other factors. One major factor being that he changed SOMETHING in his diet. And again PLEASE don't make the mistake of thinking that changing WHAT you eat is the main reason for weight loss. It is not. In 80% of the aspects, it is HOW MUCH you eat. And WHAT you eat in 90% of those 80% correlates with what you eat.
      And again: IT IS NOT CARBOHYDRATES. It simply is not. That is a blatant myth. I lost my weight with carbohydrates. Asian cultures who eat rice, bread, noodles etc are thin as well. Carbohydrates are vital in providing our body with glucose, which we need to sustain our energy. The issue are processed carbohydrates, for sure, especially saccharose (which is just pure sugar that you put in your coffee, that is heavily found in soda and so on.

      Now to the issue of what he cut out. Meat most likely wasn't the reason.
      Because it sure as shit is not the greens. And for multiple reasons, sustainability being one of them, and ethicality being another, I would absolutely not recommend others to follow his example. A pure carnivore diet is not instictive- humans don't hunt their food anymore, and moreover, they have a diet that is basically similar to apes and gorillas, who eat plants 97% of the time and insects the rest of the time (which is probably mostly for enjoyment and not out of nutritional need).

      So I assume that what happend with Peterson was A: he cut down food in general in some way, which correlates with his weight loss. B: His weight loss contributed to some sort of fasting or periods with less/ without food in general. The absence of a huge amount of food resulted in his cells regenerating, as when you fast, your body will remove many old , corrosive cells, instead of nurturing them.

      So, again. PLEASE don't just copy his adivce, diet or anything. I am of course not preaching but heavily insinuating. Petersons case was probably a singular event. The easiest advice that should work for the standard human is plant based. It is WAY more ecological, it is also way more instinctual, and it is ethically more advisable. Because our world will nut sustain a pure carnivore humanity. But a pire plant based humanity is better for our ecosystem, and probably our health as well.
