I'm going to be upfront and honest right now. No matter what you want to do with cycling Carni or full time, fluxing between carni and keto or carni and primal whatever, There is one thing you need to understand. It's not just about losing weight and having energy. It's about driving toxins out of the body AND healing your systemic inflammation. The core of this is your gut, and it doesn't cycle like your weight or energy or water retention. certain things simply damage the gut lining, and it takes weeks to recover from this. Sometimes months.
Imagine for a moment that your trying to keep your skin whole and healthy, but once a week you decide it's OK to go crazy BDSM goth and slash yourself a few times with a razor. How fast do you think your body will recover from that damage before you do it again? Is just doing it once a week enough? is that enough healing time before you go freddy kruger on your outer layer again? Your gut is the same way. Grains in general are like razors to your gut, and it takes weeks, even months, to repair that damage. you won't feel it right away either. it will just slowly accumulate, over months of "cheating with your doughnuts" and you'll think the diet isn't working. It's because your swallowing razor blades once a week. It takes just once. remember, razors.
If you go carni, and feel great, and want to cheat a bit, at least stick with things that aren't nuclear bombs to your gut. a bit of basic ice cream. a baked potato with butter and sour cream. 100% meat chili. drowned your ribeye in BBQ sauce. That's fine. But avoid the grains, avoid the beans. The BEST thing to do is once your full carni, a few months in, and it's all stabilized, test your diet with some safe things and see what happens. This needs to be a bi-weekly thing. add some teryaki sauce a few time a week and see how your body reacts. or some ketchup. or that potatoe. grab some ice cream and see how it works out. but don't do the grains man, they're like cancer to your gut, the same way sugar is cancer to your glands.

July 2022 I was 325 stated the carnivore BBB&E Beef Bacon Butter and Eggs and have lost 75 pounds and I am off the blood pressure , thyroid and water meds.
I'm 70. I went carb free, Keto type diet, about 2 years ago. One thing I can attest to is, I've lost the desire to nosh because I'm never hungry. I was a CARB ADDICT. I love all things baked. Pies, Cakes, Rolls, Doughnuts, Cookies, Bread, etc. It's how I was raised. I can now look at these things without CRAVINGS. It doesn't bother me at all to be around them. I am currently about 158 lbs, which I hadn't been in 45 years. Had to buy smaller pants too. I do occasionally enjoy Birthday Cake and Ice Cream with the grandkids' birthdays and eat some carbs with a meal, but I'm over being ruled by carbs and cravings. It's great. I'm in control. And, I NEVER get hungry. I eat to live and enjoy what I eat. Salads are a treat. I'm so glad I decided to cut the carbs. Amazing. Good to hear about your success. Good luck in your future.

I am just learning about this. I got introduced from one of my colleagues he got on a zoom call and honestly, I barely recognized him! He lost something like 40lbs, and he said he never felt better! So, he sent me a link and told me to watch, and it piqued my interest. Today is my first day and my goal is to get out of the pre-diabetic stage get off my medications, feel good about myself and not have to worry about what to eat!!

There seems to be many benefits to eating a carnivore diet but my question is, how does that work if someone has a history of heart attacks or cardiovascular problems in their family? Won’t all that red meat contribute to different heart diseases or is that just a myth? Thank you!
I’m, 72 oh me carnivore diet for one week. Lost a couple pounds feel great go to the gym every day grass fed beef chicken couple eggs that’s all I’ve been eating except on Friday. I have salmon it’s working out pretty well for me. I’ll keep you updated.
If you're obese or suffering from diabetes or anything that could be an autoimmune disease, just give keto or carnivore a shot for a couple months. I tried keto and lost so much weight and felt so much better physically and mentally, I haven't looked back and that was 5 years ago. I'm transitioning to a carnivore diet to see how much more improvement is possible. The biggest thing I've learned is that the mainstream "healthy" diets are garbage and are killing us. You have to get off of carbs and sugar.

Sugar is the devil of our food supply. The way the sugar industry successfully made animal fats public enemy #1 while inserting sugar in every corner of the food supply is a human tragedy that frankly has damaged and destroyed more life than any war we've fought. Grains are likely to also be detrimental since our bodies aren't adapted to consuming large amounts of grain. The heavily processed grains that are everywhere in the typical diet are definitely detrimental and are also usually infused with sugar to boot. I suspect a lot of the benefits of carnivore can be maintained by just eating clean and avoiding grains and sugar, but carnivore is great for detoxing and repairing the damage those things have caused.
That’s a lot of protein and it may be to much for the liver to process
Maybe it’s not the meat that got you to lose weight but the fact that your not taking in carbs
I'm 20 years old, spent all of high school falling asleep at 12am – 2am…could never get up properly and in the weekends or holidays I could sleep until 1 in the afternoon…I have always had a belly that is still there but I'm only 1 week in…I started the carnivore diet with 2 steaks a day one for lunch and one for dinner sometimes have a egg with it…and that's it but I have been getting up at 6am going for 2km runs on the treadmill gaming asleep at 10:30-11pm…i have no crashes like Joe is saying…I am a full time trader and have never been so focused at my desk and more importantly I have never been so consistent at the win rate…I'm never starving for food…little hungry sometimes, sure but who isn't….I can confess something in this diet is working…also no drinking…no beer no wine…no juice nothing just water..
Another way to lose weight is to stop drinking soda, other soft drinks, drink water instead.

This is all a Lie. Red meat is a carcinogen and causes Cancer. Eat plenty of vegetables and greens – and wild-caught sockeye salmon and sardines. Poultry like chicken is OK if it's sourced right. Don't believe any of this!

You will need to have electrolytes in your diet , been on this diet with my wife for nine months. It is a noticeable difference in the diet.

Honestly, just remove the large amount of carbs. Eat meat and vegetables; especially the latter. Humans are not carnivores.
My problem with the vegan diet is that it makes it extremely difficult if not impossible to control your daily macros. If I want to increase my daily protein total WITHOUT ALSO raising my carb and fat totals for the day, forget about it. Upping my protein is going to jack up my carbs and /or fats with the food choices available on a vegetarian or vegan diet. This is a huge problem for many people who do well with lower carb plans that have protein as its main feature. And lastly ,no ones going to tell me…. no study, no expert …NOBODY is going to tell me that its not better to try to build animal muscle (human muscle tissue) out of animal protein than it is to try to build animal muscle out of vegetables. Its simple affinity.
