Talk about my bandaid here
I’ve just ordered my very first case and and a few modules, comprising some effects & Maths to play with my semi-modular kit… DivKid’s video made me realise Pam’s was a pretty essential module, this video just made me order one! Excellent video squire, cheers 👍
39:50 So you don't need the expander then right? YOu can use one of the 8 channels on pams to spit out 24ppq to sync with other eurorack modules?
Sounds like Tortoise! ❤👍
can you use Pam with another sequencer module? like the metropolix or w/e
Hey Jeremy, got a query I'm wondering if you can help me out with… I've got Pams and am trying to get the sequence to run with clock from my octatrack, atm I've only a Midi box splitting out signals and a little MIDI to CV lead converter which is going into the clk input.
I'd like the clock to start with the octatrack rather than needing to hit start on pams, I've looked online but not sure if I need to buy a different midi to cv device like Mmidi or CVOCD. Any
I just got this module for my first rack. I gotta use it better 😔
you didnt mean review…you meant to reiterate. I was waiting for an opin 🙂
I don’t care what the view count says, these videos are so helpful to the ecosystem. You really show how Pam’s can be pushed. Pushing our existing gear further is a great way to battle GAS and supply chain woes. Thank you for making this.
Can you generate Euclidean rhythms and use R Skip on those rhythms simultaneously with just one Pam's?
That was some smart stuff, sending a square wave in to essentially open and close randomization of the pitch 👏👏
First thing I learned…yeah, the screen IS that dark. I was worried mine was defective
I am wondering why this is working. When pam is sending out low notes the voltage isn't enough to trigger envelopes, at least in my case and when feeding a module with seperate trigger and cv I end up having pitchchanges while a note plays as the trigger isnt quantized the way the cv is except I setup both channels similar which is rather uninspiring. It would be pretty nice if there was a way to generate trigger or gates each time the voltage coming out of the channel that goes into pitch changes. Hope this makes sense. I suppose an ornament & crime can do this but I dont know how.
Ok, I'm really confused by the quantise function. All I can manage is to make the PAM produce either a lot of noise, or very low pitch ticks. Can you explain the signal path and settings you're using in text, because I'm not at all getting the results you are getting. Excellent video otherwise!
such skilled knoblery! tried liking the video twice without realising
"You dont need to Pams" i call bs on that xD
If you had two Pams modules, one putting out gates and the other putting out CVs, would this be a 16 channel version of Mutable Instruments Marbles?
Euclidean question: when you switch to 15 steps from 16, does that mean that it’s dividing 1 bar into 15 equal parts, like literally 15th notes? Or are they still 16th notes, but only 15 of them in the pattern so the pattern restarts before the end of the bar?
I like the close ups of the band aid.
If I'm wanting to start and stop PNWo from an es-8/analog 4 what should I plug into the Run input?
I wish I could like this video harder.
Damn, Pams needs more CV Inputs!!! Who do we have to talk to? : )
Is there a way to set the root note of the scale? Or are all scales have C set as the default root?
I have bought myself a bandaid like yours.
I think it may have improved my sound.
Welp. I guess I need a second Pam's now.
