Extempore bout' to kill me!!!! 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶
Hello Alex, this video was very informing. I'm very introverted and I don't like public speaking whatsoever. However, your video does give me a little more confidence and what I should do when presenting. One thing I tend to do is ramble and fidget with my hands a lot. I never really had someone tell me I shouldn't be doing those things but now I know. It was interesting to hear you say that I shouldn't clutter my notes with many details. Every time I made notes for a presentation I tried to get everything on there but looking back on it, I can see that it adds more pressure.
Thanks so much for these tips!! 😊
I loved the tip, "one thought for one contact"
This man just ended the video with God bless 🙌. Hmm. Don't see that to often. Subscribed!
Very useful tips that will help improve your inner state before the performance. I completely agree that notes should not be too long, it confuses both the listener and the lecturer. I can also recommend that you definitely practice before the performance in order to be more confident. Thanks for the video, greetings from Uzhgorod, Ukraine!
I have done public speaking for quite a bit,
I still find your suggestions
very useful..particularly
one thought / one person
Which helps me remaining
in focus.
Good quality, thank you
After watching some couple of videos on public speaking, this was the best hands down👍
I literally spend 1 hour per slide
I like the pause a lot. What I did was rambling. That’s not good. And I am under training to be a tour guide now. Those tips really help.
Thank you! Having been nervous recently. I'm going to give some tips i use whenever i do a speech. Firstly, do not think people are going to judge. This has been very difficult for me to follow, since im an introverted person, so i overthink alot. What i do is to completely focus on my speech and think about giving these people a good show or presentation! Secondly, be confident in yourself, like sir said, say it like your having a normal conversation with your family. Make sure your notes are simple and not like an essay. You could throw in facts. Thirdly, if your speech timing is around 5 mins or less, try to give the main points of the speech. Don't ramble while introducing, get straight to the point!
Thank you. It took me years of public speaking and singing experience! Hope you all get good grades or get a promotion in your presentations!
Oh my god, Im about to have my informative speech performance task in 2 days, and I have very bad social skills. SOMEONE SEND HELP.
God help me😂
Thank you so much. It’s very interesting
It helped a lot. Thank you sir
Thanks for the vid!
For me the most helpful tips, or the ones I need to work on most are a confident gesture, talking clear and not too fast, pausing every once in a while and making direct eye contact.
Last week I presented my thesis and for a 20 minute presentation I used about 60 slides. Almost like a pecha kucha, with only one core idea or image per slide. I think it worked pretty well because the teachers listening to my presentation had already read my thesis so they were up to date with my key points already. Normally I wouldn't do it with so many slides but I think it worked out pretty nice!
Greetings from Spain
SIMPLIFIED NOTES are the best way to approach a presentation. Just like you said, too much details makes it awkward. And, I meant that from first-hand experience.
Comes in very handy! Since pandemic outbreak, presentation channels have greatly switched to virtual and online concepts. Any specific donts and does you can give away when it comes to online presentations?
How did your college presentation go ?
I wnat to speak about Jesus in front of a lot of ppl at a Christian fellowship club I’m in
Great video, very informative. Thanks for sharing!
Your videos offer so much value. Thank you!
Such great tips!
This is for rising leaders? What about those of us that just want to be better speakers and aren't interested in being leaders?
You covered everything , very nice, helps so much
Thank you 😇
I have lots of things in my head to say but when I'm there I feel so scared and nervous.
Sometimes my voice even shakes.
Am so scared to even try, coz I feel wat if they like it or wat if I make a joke and they don't laugh.
And if I make a mistake,😔 my whole day becomes bad
They are good tips, but I still don't feel like I can do it. I dont think I have the verbal processing power to be a good public speaker.
I can’t talk in my office meetings and that’s killing me
Why don't you mention overuse of gestures and gestures which don't match what you're saying at all.
