I love running. I also love that cardio clears your arteries, lowers your BP, and strengthens your heart. Bulk or not, I can never stop running.
Holding muscle on your frame burns more calories than someone without it. I understand calorie deficit to lose fat. Please don’t take health advice from someone that’s juiced. It destroys your organs, real quick. Giving yourself body dismorphia before you even step in the gym 😂

I enjoy running due to the fact it’s hard. I don’t run for times I run at paces where I struggle and think about stopping early. I find running mentally great as pushing through the hard times and sprinting to the end just builds mental fortitude in a way. then I do enjoyable exercises in the gym.
If you hate cardio you're better off finding something you enjoy doing that slightly increases the HR while moving for an extended period of time. The body will feel the stress of not wanting to do cardio secreting cortisol which prevents fat from being used as fuel efficiently.
Honestly, going for a 20-45 min walk is all the cardio you need. In addition to a moderately healthy diet, no alcohol and regular strength training you'll be well on your way to being better than 70% of the population.
