Obviously you don't do cardio to loose weight you do cardio to have a healthy heart and not die from a heart attack at 50

You don’t do cardio because you know it’s good for you only cite the evidence to support your willfulness. There’s a reason why it makes you feel great right after, is an anxiety reducer, has shown to boost neurogenesis, is a mood elevator etc.

I love my hill sprints they zen me out and help me completely relax after a tough day at work
But I also like my kettlebell and pump classes because I am competitive and want to do better than those around me
It all depends on my mind state and what makes me happy at that moment

I'm much better at lifting than at running, but I just don't enjoy it. It's inconvenient and not very competitive compared to running races anyone can enroll in. Running is also way more meditative for me, runner's high or not

I have asthma too, and I noticed the biggest improvement when I started to do HIIT twice a week. It is easier to run for me now, especially because I wasn’t seeing improvements when I was just running. Little tip for any asthmatic 😊

So what if you hate running and will never do it? Your loss. Running is a beautiful thing, and I feel spiritually uplifted when I do it, especially when I get to run through nature. When I break into a sprint it's the closest thing I'll ever get to flying. Amazing

I understand your philosophy but my question is do you hate running because you inherently hate it or because you are bad at it? If it's the first reason then you are definitely right to not to cardio or not run. However, if it is simply you are bad at it and you think you would enjoy it more if you are better at it then incorporating running into your training would make you better at it with practice. In any case if what you are doing is working for you then keep doing what your doing. Great video!

i found out that jump rope is great. for many reasons. 1. i can stop whenever i want. 2. you can alternate it with calisthenics it's gonna make a full body workout and doesn t get boring. 3. it s actually fun, you can learn some tricks. 4. it burns a ton of calories in a very short time. 5. improves your breathing capacity.

your channel is great alex. keep on

I do both cardio and weightlifting. I run for 10 minutes/day (with 2 minutes of cool down jogging) every day. Then 3 times a week I weightlift focusing on full-body workouts but varying muscle groups.

I've learned to enjoy that which I once hated (running), as it's an accomplishment made first thing in the morning. Regardless of the day, I make the first major task completed for the day a workout, which at a minimum consists of a 10 minutes run and 2minute cool down.

It's the same reason I often take cold showers. It's a stoic practice od hardening the mind. After an ice cold shower in the morning, what could my day throw at me that's really that bad? That's the concept (it also has other physiological benefits).

Punching bag is great though, because it's useful besides being good exercise. It's HIIT, which means you don't waste a lot of time, and you learn how to punch (provided you're doing it right).

Cardio is important to me but I dont do more than 30 mins of it usually. i do it because i love seeing the blue sky while running on the track, doing a treadmill is pointless to me so im a seasonal runner. It burns a lot of calories and it gets the mucus out of my chest bwahah! also pushes me to do better stretching and think about my posture also i love to listen to audiobooks while running!
