Like most people, when I first got into fitness, it seemed everywhere I turned all I would hear was that I needed to eat cleaner (and cleaner, and cleaner) if I wanted better results. Wanting to be the best version of myself that I could be, I followed this advice for years, obsessing over eating meals at "exactly" the right time and with the "perfect" combination of foods. I started to avoid going out with friends because I might "miss a meal" and even missed out on many special occasions because of my diet. Over the last decade or so, with all the learning I have done, I've come to realize that most of this was totally unnecessary and likely holding me back in many ways. Hopefully this video will shed some light on a science-based approach to dieting that will help some of you get on a more balanced and sustainable track. The thing is I simply don't want to eat "dirty " foods. I don't feel as good afterwards and the taste to health ratio(just made that up) is just not that high. In terms of taste I'd rather eat a banana than a chocolate bar(no really), guess which one is healthier. It's not that I'm scared of eating bad foods I really just do not care about them.
I'm am conscious of eating healthier throughout the week, but when I want to eat fat/sodium/carb overload I do lol

Seeing the title I thought you were about to actually claim that not eating unprocessed foods, without added chemicals etc was unhealthy (which would be incredible nonsense), because EVERYONE should be doing that. Glad it boiled down to simply "everyone's definition is differently".
I noticed this when I travel. If I was flexible with my eating and I hit the gym I saw better results
Seems like you're downplaying how easy it is to cause health problems like fatty liver through routine eating of carbs. Sure you can moderate but they increase cravings for more making limiting intake much harder than keto foods.

Well, see, the clear problem of defining “clean eating” is that you are not relying on my definition of clean eating.
I think every diet can have cheats, just because you eat clean doesn't mean it can't be a normal diet with cheats. I think it's wrong to have the video be about the diet being too strict, that does not apply strictly to clean eating because of what I said. A person could have a scheduled plan and if it doesn't align with the plan, it could have the same effect. Thank you for listening to my feedback.
Problem is if you keep the junk food around you are likely to binge. I know I am. So it’s much healthier for me to keep that stuff out of my house. We are addicted to these foods. Not eating them for the most part is the right move!!!
I agree just eating clean isn’t very sustainable but balancing it out with having vegetables smoothies full with fiber and eating Whole Foods it’s good I eat clean for about 4 days and indulge in what I like for 3 days of the week keep my metabolism running hot keeping my BmR high.

I knew it was clickbait. I'll tell you why I eat clean: as I'm an endomorph (who sniffs a hamburger and automatically gains 5 pounds of fat) i'm 6'1" tall and an advanced gym rat, I eat a large amout of food because is natural for my biotype, i eat clean so I can eat more to reach my macronutrients. I eat about 2,5kg of food a day, this way I feel satisfied, control my anxiety and lose fat. I have my "junk food day" weekly because the caloric deficit for a long time is not good for fat loss. (I wish I could explain more but my English is really broken)

Learn about what you're putting into your body. Animal meat is not for humans to consume on a regular basis. The body needs carbohydrates from fruits, fat from seeds and nuts, minerals from legumes, beans and lentils.
For me veggies are like sauces, i use them when i feel like i need them, mostly i eat meats and fruits

I believe people lean more towards sweet potatoes because they on average contain much more of your needed vitamins and minerals then a regular russet.

I'm usually a rather clean eater but spent a week in a country where I "had" to eat junk food for breakfast and fatty stuff the rest of the day. I also didn't work out apart from some jogging. When I came back I had a six pack for the first time in my life🤣
Personally I'm really lucky in that I seem to be able to almost completely cut out junkfood without feeling deprived. I'm a chef by trade so I can make nutritious, healthy and delicous meals rather easily. I cut out soda 8 years ago and haven't had any since, I recently decided to quit coffee and all sources high in caffeine and that has been a little tedious because I've been tempted by it but haven't had much difficulty. I'm always chasing micronutrients though different whole foods. Overall I think eating mostly whole foods has drastically improved my fulfillment when it comes to food.
I understand though that every isn't as lucky as me and there are people who just can't help but crave junk food 24/7 and this video is perfect for people like that.

For me I've started breaking it down into 1) Protein 2) Calories 3) Micros 4) Everything else. As long as you take a good look at each thing and examine it critically it is fine. Eating ice cream and pizza might get you to your target each day but it will also get you a step closer to diabetes in the long run. Everything in moderation.
One good way I did this was I took my original ultra clean boring foods with their great macros and I simply made them dirtier. A chicken breast is still a chicken breast when you cook it into a curry. Homemade curry with attention taken to how much and type of oil that is added is a damn fine meal.
Been on the Carnivore diet for a while and it's been working great. I make muscle by reading books about the gym.

If you can’t readily identify all the ingredients on the label without using Google, it’s a safe bet that you don’t want to put that shit in your body.
When it comes to a menu, again, it’s simple: meat, dairy, vegetables.
