Thank you for sharing your tips on loosing weight. It’s a lot harder when your in your 70s to lose weight but I found intermittent fasting dose work for me. It’s harder for me cos I’m a cook still work in hospitality I handle food everyday, cooking 🥘 tasting for others if it’s tasty 😋 enough but I’m learning to spit the food out when I’m tastings so it helps me,the saying is a moment on my lips 👄 a lifetime on my hips lol 😂 god bless.

Eating healthy is not a punishment – that’s a new one for me. Coke-a-Cola is terrible company that are responsible for half of the destruction of the Amazon rainforest. Only drink it once or twice a year.

You're right about sugar! I gave up having sugar in my tea and coffee when I was 15 and I've never had it since. In fact, if someone gives me a drink with sugar in, I don't like it, it ruins the taste of the drink. I also limit my fruit intake for the same reason – I absolutely love it, but it is quite high in sugar. And I try and keep the carbs low, which is hard because I love carbs – not really bread, I'm not a huge fan, but rice and pasta. My weakness is sweet stuff, so that's always my battle when I'm trying to lose weight. But you're right, if you're thinking about your health, then you'll do it. I do actually like healthy food, so that makes it easier – the problem is, I like some unhealthy foods as well! 😉
we women are so hard on ourselves, but your tips are all very valid. Like you, I don't enjoy cooking but it's easy and fast to steam some veggies and have about 2 oz of fish or chicken. I'm getting there. Hope to reach my goal by Halloween. Thanksgiving and Christmas are tough but I've managed two celebrations with friends where I did not eat any of the food there, I brought any own. good luck.
I prefer to eat alone because I can enjoy my meal more and eat slower. Most people I'm around with are stressmakers, eating very fast (10 minutes for a whole meal!) and then want to leave the cantine, instead having to wait for me to finish aswell. Also, they tend to keep conversations very fast and hectic which gives me stress and makes me eat faster automatically.

Everytime I hear you say "don't weight yourself", that cracks me up. First time I heard you say that I thought it was "don't wet" yourself in the morning and I almost wet myself. I gained "wet" from covid and you are a great inspiration. Try losing "wet" over 60!!

I"m 62 and feel like Iv'e been going through menapause forever, I like you have tried to eat the right low carb, so much confusing info. You clearly take great care of yourself, so your doing something right. Your a beautiful young and fun lady and positive Take care.
Wine is just fermented sugar. Just as bad as soft drink. Liquid calories. Use food as an opportunity to nourish your body in the right portion. Sleep is a problem over 50. Covid hasn’t helped anyone sleep well. Additional stess and anxiety.
Ok I watched a few more of your videos and you've won me over. Subscribed. My mother is French she's very skinny. She eats whatever she wants and never puts on weight. I'd like to see more what I eat in a day videos.

for me biggest problem is sleep, I average 3-4 hours a night which i know isn't good :/ But when i do sleep 8 hours I feel dead so I guess I have to get used to it
I was inspired by your other video of making soup. I made some butternut squash soup. Add a few pistachios or pecans to my bowl and it is unusually satisfying. And I stay full longer than eating a big meal. Getting cold here in the States so this may be a new go to meal. Trying out other soup recipes also to use spinach with a broth base not cream 😜 I also tried keto for a couple of weeks and fell off but find I cannot eat sugary foods like I use to

Even as an American, I am also disgusted by soda. I cannot believe people drink their calories like that. It’s so not worth it. I’d happily get my sugar in a nice créme brûlée instead!

Sugar is incredibly addicting and I realized if I have it then I want more and more. It is easier to have none then to resist having more.

I use to diet when I was younget,but that was pure tortute…I'm 48 now and I learned what to eat and what not to eat to stay slim.

I love your tips. This lockdown has been devastating to my weight. But I am trying to keep on top of that. I am only 47 and I read an article the other day by older and wiser women and one thing that they regret was that they didn't take care of themselves when they were younger. They said that the benefits build up when you eat healthy and move your body so when you are older you do not suffer so much with health problems. BUT also, they said that they enjoyed life more when they were skinny, too many time we think of junk food as treats but they said they never remembered the times when they gave up all the cakes and junk. However, they did remember the great feeling they had when they were slim and fit and had the clothes and life that they wanted. That put thing for me in perspective! Don't waste your life feeling frumpy and unhealthy
Great tips! I used to drink tea and coffee with sugar or flavored creamer. I have succeeded eliminating the sugar and enjoy drinking chai or herb tea (no milk) during the day—it has great flavor and spice! Also, I drink my morning coffee with low fat milk (no sugar). Sparkling water—even with flavor—is better than soda!
I found an app that I know you will love too! It is called Samsung Health and it measures how many calories you burn in rest, based on your height and waste. It also counts how many calories you burn counting your steps through the day. You can enter other activities like cycling or sports. And it also has a food diary section where you can even search for specific brands and products. So you know exactly how much you ate and burned every day.
I "try" to make lunch the breakfast meal of the day.
I find that the more that I eat, the hungrier I get.
Try measuring your waist weekly.
Love this two-part set of videos. It is great to see the comments, too. I am 51. My dear husband is just getting into his Summer biking routine and is seeing great results. He has great discipline. My thing is walking, so I am just getting started with this and will take to heart the suggestions given here from Frederique. Indeed!!!!! But the best thing is fasting in the morning, for me black coffee no sugar at all is the energy until my lunch. My dinner is just light.
The best piece of advice here is do not eat in front of a screen. You will certainly eat more than you needed to. If you are hooked on sodas try water with a squeeze of lemon and drink it from a beautiful glass.
Ditch the super sized coffees and teas, you are doubling your calorie intake and damaging your kidney/bladder function! My preference is for 1930s teacups and dinner plates, you consume a much more reasonable amount. BTW, look back at vintage photos from those times, you will notice that almost everyone is very slim. Food was more expensive then, and not available 24/7. Just educating ourselves about this can change our mindset and help us fight the junk food culture we live in.

if I only had one more meal to eat before I die, it would be a 1. donut 2. brownie with a cup of German or Austrian Coffee without flavored creamer , just plain cream. C'est so bon !
