NOT GOOD FOR OUR WALLET!!! Mostly veggie alternatives are less healthy…
Firstly I must take issue with the misconception that everyone should be drinking 8 glasses a day.
The informed consensus is that the only reliable way of judging your hydration levels without scientific testing in a moderately healthy person (others should be following doctor's advice) is through the changes to the colour of your urine and adjusting your water intake accordingly.
Additionally 8 glasses takes no account of your size, body composition, activity, environmental conditions or the food that you eat – watermelon is almost all water, while some dry foods may contain next to none. As my Biology teacher used to stress (She and her Husband were authors of highly regarded textbooks) Not enough water (but sufficient to keep you alive – knowing someone who was on dialysis before his transplant horrified me on just how little liquid he was allowed to consume!) MAY harm you, but too much WILL.

I only eat meat at dinner time, and not every day, one or 2 days a week I go veggie in the evening. But every lunch is vegetarian or vegan. I've been doing this for 3 years and I feel light after lunch.

Hey Sara! Hope you and your family had a great Christmas! Happy New Year🥳 I do need to start drinking more water. Coffee ain't leavin' LOL! I drink maybe 2 cups of coffee a day. The veggie meals during the days is a good idea. My hubby is a neat and potatoes man. I'm at home all day, so veggie meals during the day won't affect him.😉 I will start today finding veggie meals. And start drinking my water more also! It's in the fridge ready to be drunk.

Love these ideas. I got a soda stream unit for Christmas and have been using it once daily. I fill up the 1 ltr jug and have it by me at all times. It helps!
Today more and more doctors are saying that calorie restriction on the standard American diet is what's to blame for metabolic slowdown and susequent weight regain. Regardless of eating less people are still eating too high carb and too often, causing insulin resistance. There are new studies that suggest calorie restriction through fasting and low carb maintains the metabolic rate, while lowering insulin levels. skipping breakfast is best of all.
