Great training insights
Doing hip thrusts in a crowded gym would require a lot of confidence 🤣 idk they just look weird but I don't doubt about there effectiveness
Keep in mind that these guys are probably under 40
Great video
What a crap video.😂😂😂😂😂
Always like that good sense of humor from Alpha 😂😂👌
ALPHA!!!! outfit made me smile and nice deadlift butt lol
Skull crushers for beginners for sure. But for us old gym rats it’s to hard on the elbows. I am talking I am 30 years + training I am over A half a century old. Skull crushers really help develop my triceps big time. For me your video is spot on I enjoyed watching it because it is exactly all of the changes that I have made over the years 👍💪🏽👍
Good stuff, thx.
I have a bad kidney. does your "product damage my kidneys?
I’m 52 and I still do all the same lifts I did when I was in my 20s. 0 problems
I'm gonna do what gym bro is doing , he seems to have a better physique.
I am 47 and can run rings around most young guys in the gym. In fact I feel and look in better shape than when I was in my 20s
57 year-old female. Still kicking butt in the gym💪
Well, I am nearly 50 yo, working out non-stop for about 30 years now, having a body a lot of twentysomethings would kill for and I must say this vid is very accurate. I stopped doing deadlifts, dumbell flies and squats long ago, not because something told me so but because my body told me they were bad for me. It's not a matter of feeling old, it's about common sense.
I love these vids aimed to mature men that still go working out almost daily. ¡Thanx a lot and bravo!!!
Helpful video. Thanks.
41 year old Veteran, I bring up the Veteran status because my body has been through some stuff, plenty of milage. Squats are a no go at this point.
Dam I've always been weak on my back and legs due to herniated disk surgery. Was barely getting my deadlift on par, increasing low weight at 41, then I watch this…😂
This video lost me at deadlifts. This video is so wrong 😅😅😅😅
Complete horseshit. Deadlifting is a movement we perform everyday in regular life. With proper form and appropriate weight, deadlifting is a healthy and important part of any workout program.
Kick rocks. You encourage the weak to stay weak. Who ever listen to you I’d weak AF. Again you sound crazy
You sound crazy. This video is weak
I found dips caused my chest to have pain right in the middle so I changed it for the assisted dip machine
Behind the neck press! If you are over 40, stop doing that immediately!
He is basically saying to go puppy on compound exercises. Anyone speaking trash of deadlift, flys, is not a real man or, woman. Unsubscribed
I popped a disc in lower back using a leg press machine. It bulges again every few years. I've been scared of all lifting that puts pressure on my spine ever since. No more presses, overhead, squats.
I'm even scared of dead lifts.
I don't know how to protect the disc and spine while having any kind of heavy load being held by my upper body.
76 years old and still going strong. Never liked dead lifts anyway. I do experience some shoulder pain from barbell flies and will switch to cables. The leg press causes some pain in one knee but dissipates as I continue with reps. But I can do about 260 on a squat machine without pain. No more leg press for me.
New fitness trend: hate on exercises that work.
Hahahaha, that's funny. I am 53 and just started working out 9 months ago and these exercises you say to stop doing are awesome.
Is that Alpha dude ok?
🥴😂
I'm getting close to 50. I don't really skip any of these exercises. I do fewer deads and squats. I also don't go close to 1RM any longer. But I still do them.
The only real big change as I got into my 40 was only hitting muscle groups twice a week vs 3. I'm still in the gym 5 days a week though.
Cable flys are useless. You are demonstrating the dumbbell fly complete wrong. Never go all the way up, stop about 8 inches apart to maintain constant tension. Cable anything are not that good for muscle growth. Compound movements are always best.
You lost me at the deadlift. I feel sorry for the people who learn from you…
You just blew it. Compound lifts will always, always be the backbone of general health and muscle building.
In the last 5 years 35-40, I've switched from high weight low reps to low weight high reps, and doing a 4 day full body routine! I've dicth deadlifts with bar bell and do same motion with dumbells and also just been doing 100 free squats with no weight at all
As an over 50 lifter with 35+ years of experience, the only sound advice in this video is avoiding upright rows. Those should be avoided at ANY age. I still deadlift, squat, and bench heavy. I also do Romanian deadlifts and Bulgarian split squats. Not as substitutes, but in addition to the exercises this guy says you MUST not do. Also, crunches are simple to make progressive with added weight. Hold a plate or dumbbell to the chest when doing them to keep making them harder. But crunches are only one of many beneficial ab exercises. It's important as you get older to warm up adequately and give yourself longer to recover between hitting body parts. I have separate chest, back, quads, arms, shoulders, and hamstring days, giving myself a good week+ between repeating days. I alternate two different programs every four weeks to change things up and add a few 5×5 days in transition weeks. And no matter your age, keep good records of your program so that you can track your progress regarding the weight and volume of each lift so that you can continually progress and avoid ruts. You'd be surprised how easy it is to get comfortable with lifting the same weight each and every week, thinking you're getting stronger while you're simply maintaining.
I do 4 of 5. I’m 44
I deadlift

I think the leg press is a sneaky dangerous machine – easy to roll your lower back and have bad form. And for the cable version, often they are harder on the bottom which causes people to over exert themselves trying to get it moving
In the Middle East, anyone under 40 is "shabab" – "Youth"… I mean, like, Happy Meal qualified. This BS about over 40… shish. When I was young, over 30 was, well, too, too old …

I'm doing more kettlebell workouts in my 40s and absolutely loving it! always remember the right workout is choosing to actually workout that day! just remember to warm up and cool down
