Wow what a great video
You are super great teacher, Jazer! I only found your channel today, I’ve never been to a music school, just play by ear, but your channel has changed my life! Now I am just really into it! Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and skills!
Your videos are amazing. Thank you so much 💖💖
My hands don't coordinate.,especially the left 🖐️
You are SO helpful Jason. THANKYOU!
How should I practice each week…For instance, should I learn one piece each week?… I am practicing on Czerny's 160 Eight Measure Progressive Exercises now…I try to learn 1 exercise to perfection every 2 to 3 days…Doing that for the next year…is that wise?…
Good stuff..l
Beautiful session. Thank you 🙂
Nothing better than learning piano from a Asian dude
You are awesome jazer……. Ur teachings helped me,
All of them. I have only been playing for less than 3 weeks. But your videos are extremely helpful. I find focusing on chords, all 12 of them, is very beneficial. Your tips have helped me a lot. You are my go-to youtube piano teacher.
8:06 bro, wha da fuq
Would you please post all the key signatures for every key? I can never find a complete key signature chart
Does anyone know what the other two pedals are for or are they just there for show?
I have been playing for over 40 years and I still haven't found out! nobody seems to know. when I look under my piano, it doesn't seem like they connect to anything
Why is it so hard to find a tutorial on the formulas for every type of chord… major, minor, Diminished, seventh, augmented, 6ths, 9ths etc? yet thousands of Lead sheets put just the chords on the music and expect you to know how to make a 9th or minor seventh as if we were born with that information.
Do I use the fourth or the fifth finger to play the black keys? That is like asking Which leg do you like to use to climb a ladder?
You don't even say which finger is your fourth finger, so how can we learn anything from your tutorial? Bad habit assuming everyone knows
I generally like playing four-fingered chords so it depends on what key/chord I am in. I just let my hands and fingers fall on whatever feels comfortable if I am learning a song, I revert back to just one key
I have a keyboard 🎹
It’s been a long time since I’ve done a proper fingering
I dont know which personal finger I mostly use for my black keys yet 😂
Fingering if my hardest
Chords are my weakness and scales
Practicing Gymnopedie, I find it impossible to reach the ninth or even tenth with the left hand. So I play the upper note of those base chords with the right hand along with the melody, (the only way I'm able to pull it off). Is this acceptable? Sorry I don't have a teacher that I can ask.
How i study the chords
I find fingering techniques similar to home keys on a computer keyboard, except the "home" keys on the piano vary through the piece one is attempting to play.
One more thing, the piano does not have a back space or undo key, it has to be right and flow correctly unless you are learning a piece at home.
HI🔹️🤍🔹️ is there any other term for "fingering " ?? It sounds so … well, a bit anti – romance , anti whztever – well it doesn't matter. THANKS ANYWAY 🙏🙏🙏🔹️🔳🎹🎼🔹️👍👌🦋🎼🎹◼🎹🎹🎼🌫🟦🙏🙏💮🌫🎼🎹🎼🎹🎹🔳💮👍👌🎼💮💖🎼🙏💎
My name is Albert from Ghana my main problem is the fingerings and my left hand
Thank you for your efforts…i am flowing you from Egypt your english easy and clear i can understand you without struggling…really I appreciate your help thanks 🙏
This is a great tutorial. 👏 my challenge is I have tension on my hand especially right hand. Would
You please share yoour advices how to prove the position of the hand in order to expand and play in less tension?
I love that you wear Ugg boots while you play 😄
Appreciate you much, but in the pedal use intro it would have been helpful to know what notes/chords you were playing to imitate your beautiful sound without wasting time analyzing from yourfingers.
Hi Jazer, thanks for sharing all of your wisdom! I have a question re fingering – what's the best way to learn the correct fingering technique? Is it a by-product of learning sheet music and knowing your majors, minors and chords? I'm extremely new to piano (been playing my Casio CDP S100 for a week) and I'm trying to learn through a combination of Skoove Premium and your YouTube videos, so any help much appreciated!
It's rather common to push kids onto pianos, but I seriously feel a bit older (Minimum Middle School, around 13) is far more suited, since 1. physically the hands are bigger, 2. more capable of longer sustained focus during practice, 3. better self-discipline for mindful practice, 4. greater self-reflection powers, & most importantly 5. greater intellectual/mental prowess for learning music theory!
The main benefit of kids on instruments is simply introducing them to the joys of music & to allow for experimentation with sounds, but in my observations the point is quite lost of a lot of Moms, who tend to make it all quite unbearable for little ones to joy making noise. LOL
Thanks again for the useful video. Now I understand why my pedaling always sounds awful. I am making exactly the same mistake as you mentioned in the video about changing pedal at the same time as the tone/measure changes. Also, fingering is super important. I am too casual on this. Thanks. You are super helpful, Jazer.
I remember with trumpet, memorizing every scale was critical.
