Do you have any video traveling from Vancouver, Canada, to Seattle, US?
I don't agree with the comparison of bathrooms to those on airplanes. About the same in my experience.
I like your channel, but how do i search for stuff specifically? I’m looking for these air buds you recommended and it’s driving me crazy!! Please help!!
Hi, can you add the link to show how to make a booking in Amtrak?
Your videos are priceless to me. I am contemplating taking a train this summer. Knowing what to expect is vital to me. I will be watching more videos.
Going on my first train ride soon and bought my ticket on the app. Do I have to check in at the ticket counter or something?
I happened to see this video and your tips are really helpful! I will travel from Chicago to Washington in the coming June by Amtrak, it is a 17-hour long journey and the sleeping coaches are all sold out. My concern is that it might not be comfortable to sit in a seat for so long especially overnight. Do you think if I should take Armtak train for 17 hours throughout night or simply take a flight in 2 hours?
I am traveling to DC from Pittsburgh for a bike tour. I will have 4 panniers to carry onboard with me and can I keep them in seeing distance somehow?
thanks to you and your husband, my daughter and i took an amtrak for the first time to get to albuquerque hopped off to take the rail runner train to santa fe. we're back home now and we're planning for our next amtrak trip to oregon. we love your helpful videos….thank you!
2023… Are the Amtrak trains still in service??
Love your videos. Taking my first train trip in MAY … SO watching all I can. FYI: While babysitting my 4 month old Great Grandchild .. I put your (lots of talking videos) on … sit him in front of TV …. he thinks your talking to him. He spends his time talking back to you. So cute !!
Thanks so much…glad I found this video.
Hi I’m planning on traveling with 1 backpack and 1 suitcase (size as the one you put above you the plane) will my stuff will be with like in airplanes ???
This was so, so helpful. Thank you 😊
Awesome! Thank you very much for the tips. I have never been on a train before but I will be on the train soon. Question: I will be traveling alone. Do I have to share a “roomette” with a stranger? I think I saw 2 seats in the roomette.
Hi i am coming for the first time to the USA and will be using Amtrak train service i have 2large trolley to check in my question is do we have to carry it to the train or drop it in the counter or desk (checked bags ) . Nd what's the procedure after i reach my destination to collect my checked bags please help
Please, can someone tell me what do you do with your luggage under 50 lbs getting on from a station with no attendant ?
Ok I just checked prices for a sleeping car it's like 966 to 1200 dollars from Chicago to San Francisco. For that price no food no snacks. Screw that I'll fly be there in 4 hours instead of 2 to 3 days and cheaper at that
Wait you pay for expensive ticket and snacks aren't free?
Don't you have option to have your own compartment where you can lock th3 door and keep your luggage and stuff in?
To be honest this is my favirvorte queen. Always travel with cash
Would a cooler be considered a carry-on bag
Thank you!
Thank you good job!
I am new to your channel and I'm taking my first Amtrak vacation in a few weeks – The Empire Builder! Is it safe to leave my things in my roomette while I'm in the observation car! Thanks so much for all of your content – super helpful!!
Thank you very much for the tips. Next month I'll be travelling from Seatle to LA on an AMTRAK train and you tips were very useful.
BASIC AMTRAK SCHEDULE? I have been looking online for a couple of days and can't seem to find a basic schedule to see when I could take a train. I have already done the usual: Located cities, routes, stations and then put in specific destinations and dates. However, I keep getting a message indicating that my dates are unavailable.
This is confusing, because it appears that Empire Builder travels every day. So, maybe it doesn't stop in my city often? Again, just looking for a schedule.
If you bring a friend you can send an "emissary" to get food and such.
Thanks for the information. We are doing our first train trip from Washington DC to Jacksonville. But we got a bedroom. so we will see how that goes.
Please show me how big The bags I can carry on
Very informative, so thank you for that! I’m just wondering if you know of any sections on the Amtrak website or app that offer deals on roomettes
What is the recommended time to arrive at the station prior to departing?
Thank you.
What’s the difference between the lower level and the upper level?
Do not compare Amtrak with express train Japan , China, Korea
I wondered about having the passenger in front of me reclining the seat. Guess it would be like having that seat back right in my lap. Anyone have advice on that? Thank you.
Hi there, I am from Brazil, and I am trying to buy the train tickets from NYC to Plhiladelphia on line, but I can´t buy, the site is not working. ANy hints?
This was great! Thank you
I am planning a trip across country for my 50th next year. I live in TN would love to go out west. Any tips?

HELP! ANYONE CLAUSTROPHOBIC?
I need to know about all the spacial concerns. Can anyone out there please let me know what are all the "Pro Tips" for someone like me? I have been doing pretty good on planes over the past 5 years and was so happy to be able to fly again THEN IT ALL WENT BAD on my flight from Los Angeles to Orlando. It was a noontime flight because I need to be able to see out the windows. I can only sit in the aisle because middle or window seat set off my feelings of being trapped. I thought, "you're doing fine…the air is not coming out of the vents overhead but it will kick in when we reach altitude."
I turned to the gentleman sitting in my row next to the window, "Excuse me sir, I was wondering if you could raise the blind on the window, I'm claustrophobic." He let out a big sigh of annoyance and rolled his eyes and said, "really?" ME: (Shame storm in full swing) Could you till we at least get up in the sky? HIM: Big sign again and just sat back in his seat. MIDDLE passenger was hurting for me. I could feel it.
THEN when we reached altitude the pilot came on and said everyone could turn on their devices. AND in totally succession EVERY SINGLE PERSON CLOSED THEIR WINDOW SHADE!!!!! I LOST IT. I was crying and could not speak. My voice was so faint. It was 4 hours of hell. So I am now thinking of ways to get back to Los Angeles from Orlando > Washington > Chicago > Los Angeles (94 hour train excursion). Because I can't afford a private jet, and don't want to rent a car to drive myself across the country, I was thinking about a train. But I must be able to know everything someone like me would need to think about to "set up" and prepare for the best emotional experience. Any advice would be appreciated. Ty for letting me share… 😟
Thank you for the info🤗
Very helpful tips, thanks so much!!
I live in Silver Spring MD, please which station is closer to me I want to travel to Boston
