Starting a healthier lifestyle can seem daunting, but it doesn't have to be. Taking small steps towards better health can add up to significant changes over time. Here are some tips to get started:
1. Set realistic goals: Start by setting achievable goals for yourself. For example, if you currently don't exercise, don't aim to work out every day. Instead, start with a goal of exercising twice a week and gradually increase from there.
2. Find an exercise routine you enjoy: Exercise doesn't have to be a chore. Find an activity that you enjoy doing, whether it's swimming, yoga, or dancing. When you enjoy what you're doing, you're more likely to stick with it.
3. Eat a balanced diet: Eating a balanced diet that includes plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins is essential for good health. Avoid processed foods and sugary drinks, which can contribute to weight gain and other health problems.
4. Get enough sleep: Getting enough sleep is essential for good health. Aim for seven to eight hours of sleep each night and establish a regular sleep routine to help you fall asleep more easily.
5. Manage stress: Stress can take a toll on both your physical and mental health. Find healthy ways to manage stress, such as meditation, yoga, or talking to a friend.
6. Make it a habit: It takes time to establish new habits, so be patient with yourself. Incorporate healthy habits into your daily routine and stick with them. Over time, they will become second nature.
In conclusion, getting started with a healthier lifestyle is all about taking small steps towards better health. By setting realistic goals, finding activities you enjoy, eating a balanced diet, getting enough sleep, managing stress, and making healthy habits a part of your daily routine, you can achieve better health and wellbeing. Remember, it's never too late to start!
One thing I’ve been doing is taking a walk for the past week or so after a decently traumatic experience my brain had with medicine. It’s definitely been helping me get in shape and feel a little better, though I am still struggling and it’s hard to not feel scared about certain things now. In other words, my anxiety is through the roof.
My first step will be to wake up early and meditate.

Yeah nah, if you're already mentally ill, the tips here aren't going to do it. What we need is affordable therapy and mental health ressources for all🥺

It takes hard work and determination to maintain your fitness schedule. Not everyone can dedicate time to lifting weights because it is demanding.
First step: I will make sure to get good sleep every night so I am well rested, energized, and ready to go the next day.
