In the streets, putting that stomp kick or push kick forward even after hitting the person is the ideal way but yeah, for competition purposes, bringing the leg back in is correct.
I never trained for the ring or cage but how to use it in the case of reality and it's a totally different world than competition fighting. It's not so tough nowadays because it's a weenie world we live in now but the 80s and 90s I grew up in were tough and most kids knew how to naturally fight and having some extra training in boxing, wrestling, or karate could make a difference if it's modified or at least from my experience and I lived in the hood life with the gangs and drugs so I know what living in a rough area feels like.
In fact, I still do but like I said, these weenies nowadays with their tight skinny jeans hanging over their butt area is the dumbest thing I've ever seen just like the sagging crap of my day! 🤣

i wanna join aa local club and start but im not into the kicking, i wanna learn the elbows and knee stuff. like 20 years ago my surfer buddy used to fly to thailand every year and he said when he started training over there the first month he was getting knocked out and throwing up all the time lol
