And breathing the way you describe to call it my lizard lip breathing cause I saw a chameleon out in my yard and that’s exactly what it was doing
When you’re doing that exercise where you point your toes to the floor triangle back-and-forth is your hips perfectly parallel or slightly leaning forward
I don't have a mat can this be done on a ferm bed?
This was the video that started my journey with you, Cassey. But like many others, I fell off the wagon and even gained extra. 😢 I restarted my fitness journey this week. After 2 days of biking, I came back “home” to this, thinking it would be an easy video. I forgot how intense it was!! I needed this tonight!! It’s good to be back!
Is it normal for me to be feeling my knee working and not my upper thigh (duringthe leg circle exercises)
Ty for this video Cassie, Ive done Pilates before and was actually pretty good at it (so I thought!), but watching this with your wonderful detailed explanations made me realize my form was off in several moves, and they are much more challenging now! Great video.
… she's got an interesting idea of beginner.
I absolutely love Cassey's yoga methodology. It's totally ingenious and beyond it's time. Revolutionary, to say the least.
Never tried Pilates before.. I feel like I’m dying 😂
Day 1: very tough, had to take several breaks, did it maybe it 45-50 mins, legs weren't tired at first but then sore throughout the day
Day 2: a bit easier ! Especially the legs part even though my legs were still really sore. I managed to do it within 30 mins!
Day 3: took a rest since my legs hurt
Day 4: alot easier ! Did the legs with minimum breaks ! Did good on legs today
Day 5: still hard especially at the start. My core is so weak. Did good on arms today
Thank you for this. It was a good reintroduction to pirates. Just one thing. I found the background music really disconcerting. It made listening to your instructions much more difficult and made me feel a little anxious
omg the tiny leg circles BURN! Worth it.
Just found your channel Cassey, as I've decided to make a commitment to strengthen and tone my almost 50 year old body. I danced when I was young, but as I grew older and had a family. I gave birth to my 4 beautiful, (now adult) children, via 3 c-cections and 1 v-back. I neglected taking care of myself to the point of having to undergo a 3 level anterior cervical discectomy and fusion from C4 to C7 about 10 years ago, along with a hysterectomy 8 years or so because of adnomyosis caused by the c-sections. I've been so disappointed by how weak I have become as I've aged, and have gone nonstop for so long that I just never bothered with trying to become fit or strong again. I finally made the decision to make my healthy physical and mental self a priority. I didn't know if I wanted to join a gym or join a private class or what…until I ran across a video of yours on you tube. Thank you so much for your channel. Your meticulous guidance and instructions are so easy to follow, along with your patient and motivational words. I was able to get through this workout without feeling discouraged. I did have to stop a couple of times here and there, due to achy joints and just plain "my butt is so out of shape"….lol, but I pushed myself as far as I safely could and improvised with your suggestions. Some moves were easy, but some were pretty difficult to maintain for me this go around. I'm going to keep at it and I know that I'll grow stronger and feel SO much better! God bless!
I can’t believe it’s been 11 years since I first did this video! I just broke a bone in my foot so I can’t do a lot but this was perfect.
Day 1- couldn't even fin the first exercise 🙂 (4:50)
Day 1 – I lasted until 10:41
I'll update at the end of the week
I Remember doing this one in 2012. Now it's 2022 it still gets me motivated in my work out.
Found you through Alisha Marie and seeing your merch in Target. I've always wanted to do pilates but felt like there was so much I was missing when just diving into a class. Thank you for making this! My biggest thing is I don't always wanna drive to the gym since the closest one is an hour away making at home ideal. My first time I was struggling a bit after legs but I'm excited to tone myself up more! Thank you for making this content baby content
11 years later and I’m still doing this video
Very nice vedou my dear friend ❣️❣️ support from Saad kamel art 🎨 fantastic I love it so much 💖💞
Cassey Ho is the very best. I totally love her Pilates.
Casey is an amazing Pilates instructor. I absolutely love her. She is totally open-minded and very willing to try different and new positions.

Thank you so much for making this video for beginners. I am as diagnosed with osteoarthritis and I cannot not do jumping or squats to tone my legs and butt 😭😭😭😭. This video helped me a lot. Hopefully in the future you will make more videos for legs and butt without jumping or squats. 😘😘🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙏🏻🙏🏻
I have a question, after finishing the beginner's calender, do we repeat it all again? Do you do the workout again and again?
I am Incorporating this with my weightlifting routines…thank you..beginner here.💪🤸♂️🧍♂️
Feels so good doing this, I hope this is the first step to the journey 🙂
Thanks Cassey !
Just did this for the first time and I lost count I how many time I had to stop and curse myself. She's a machine.
I've been practicing this every other day (since I knew I couldn't do it everyday) for 2 weeks now and I can definitely feel the difference. I can do the leg excersice without stopping to rest. Next month I'm gonna try doing this every day. 🙂 Thank you Casey for saving my butt from potato mode during this stupid pandemic.
CRAMP CRAMP 👵🏻
Years ago, I found your channel and started following you because your routines look fun AND effective( in crushing my unhealthy habits one by one). Now, I still come to this particular video whenever I have to re-start my fitness journey or am just about done convalescing and I feel like taking it slow for a little while again, like now.
Your channel is so helpful. More power to you and everyone who watch your channel!
I realize that my body is so weak, this is my first time doing it, and it hurts so much, i keep lowered my neck 😭
Throwback with all of the music from when I was in highschool!! <3 Ready to start back up again!
just began with pilates for first time n tried this! i swear i didnt know 29 mins just passed like that! i dont know how much my moves were correct but body feels energized and soo good!
Her: feeling good?
Me: NO T_T
Oh God. I'm doing this for strength and flexibility cuz I'm clearly way too skinny, like underweight skinny and I don't want to look like a skeleton anymore. Jeez. It is soooo tough for first time cuz like 7 mins in and I cannot breathe, rn I'm 17 mins in and those leg circles make me feel like my leg will fall off but motivation guys, don't give up. ✨💕
Who is here in 2021? Cassey – I have been doing your videos for about 5 years now. And I am fairly fit, but have a very labourous job as an Engineer in training. However, this work out still hurt and I still struggle after all these yearS!!! HAHA I am shocked that this is a beginner series. But this is my favorite go-to video which always leaves me feeling great! Thanks Cassey, you are phenomenal!
You are strong! No, no I am not, but one day I will be this is already easier then it was the last time, in a week or two with determination I will be able to complete this video fully without rest!!! But until then the only strong I truly am is strong willed! But the amount I feel my muscles working in this video is amazing! The burn hurts but it is nice to feel it working
To think that beginners could actually do what this woman does with the ease she does some of these moves, is ridiculous. She has obviously been doing this for years. So as someone who has done Pilates for years, my advice is to try a much simpler class first. No beginner could throw his or her leg this high without weeks of effort, so don't even try. You will hurt your lower back.
