awesome, there’s different types tho. Kippe is different than clean muscle up (no help from swing)
Kipping is a novice start. You want to develop to the point where you can do it without legs.
Don’t Kip at all. Better to build your strength up to this technique using other kinds of pull up variations, that way you can do a proper muscle up and actually build muscle. Plus it’s a way uglier exercise w a Kip. Using momentum is useless unless the you want to have a stronger ego, instead of stronger muscles. Trust.
I do my with 0 momentum
You should be able to do it w little to no momentum

What you miss is the position of your elbows. Triceps don't work in an optimal way if keep your elbows pointing out.

The killing motion brings you around the bar opposed to going relatively straight up leading to even more resistance

Try doing dead hang, not utilizing your legs at all. When I did my first couple of muscleups in a row I was always doing the straight legs as I am a stiff person and can't swing effectively. Also idk its prolly cause I cant swing that I found it easier to do with straight legs
They are a lot easier to get if you start pulling when your body is slightly in front of the bar, basically using your momentum, the hardest part is getting the timing right but you need to load up your lats properly.
Definitely skip the kipping🙏

Edit : Dont keep your body straight, you should basically make a dish shape with your body (legs slightly in front of you so you can load up your lats)

Good job bud. I can do one basicaly straight legged with a little swing atm, I'm 16, I train daily with dips chinups and pushups, starting to properly train abs now too
Kipping muscle ups will slow the muscle up progress tremendously. If just a kipping one is the goal sure go for it but if anyone wants to do a real muscle up please dont
