My shoulder impingement has gotten so bad I can't put my hand up higher than 45 degrees nor hang from the bar. Therapist isn't doing me any good.

I can't believe it that someone who trains with rings for years still haven't learnt to avoid loading the ring when the metal part touches tue ring. It was literally the first thing I learnt many many years back.
Normallly I only do 5 pullups but I go up as fast as I can to activate the fast twitch fibers and then I go down very slowly, maybe over 10 seconds- that makes it super hard. From time to time I see how many I can do at regular speed and it's improved a lot since I started doing pullups this way.

Yesss a full length vid would be cool to see
Sometimes when I see guys working out and throwing around much more weight than they can handle, with zero muscle isolation, I want to cry inside lol. Hurts to watch, knowing that if you just did half the weight, and performed the movement correctly, the results would be so much better. However, I just cant find it in myself to be THAT guy to try to show people I dont know, how to lift correctly. Instead I might sometimes wait until they are finished, move the pin up for much lighter weight, and show by example..hoping they catch on. Some do, some dont. I always catch them looking at me, out of my peripheal vision, knowing they are probably thinking "Why is a guy this size (and pretty ripped) doing such low weight?" Low (weight) and slow (movement) is my motto.

What would be a minimum viable calisthenics rack? To clarify, how much would I need to build to have enough for a few years of practice?
Just tried those isometrics and they are *brutal*. My pullups suffer from exactly the same issue you used to have. Boy I have a long way to go…
