Great save money ,
Eating healthy isn't necessarily more expensive. A bag of Lay's chips right now at my local store is $4.69, and 1lb of strawberries is $5.99. Most people think nothing of buying chips and pop but their jaw's drop at the cost of produce. Frozen, as you mentioned, is often even less expensive. Also, baking at home lets you control sugar– most of my recepies (which are just whatever I've come across in life, I'm no chef or anything) can have sugar cut by 1/4 to 1/3 and I swear you cannot tell the difference when eating. Much more cost efficient than buying pastries at the store, and you can avoid or have less preservatives, less sugar and fat. And there's copy cat recepies of basically anything you can buy in store, even name brand stuff like Oreo's.
Thanks to DR.UWENBOHERBALHOME natural, gluten free diet and natural protocol on youtube or Gut problems and Ibs naturally.. NO more pains, bloating, constipatin diarrhea e.t.c
Frozen produce is not only cheaper but also higher in vitamins and micronutrients (according to studies). I love a good frozen fruit and veggie smoothie ❤

Is Good
Good information for saving money. Eating less is one of my goals and I am not doing too good!🥴🤭 Also, using a small stockpile that we accumulated slowly when things are at a good price really helps us save. We date the canned food and put the newest in the back of pantry.
We vacuum seal meats for the freezer and date these. We use gallon sized bags so we can reuse them. Every little bit helps us.
New here!
Hey there, over here nuts are expensive but fun to watch how you do it over there
Likely you have great ideas…
However, before getting to the point, YOU REPEAT MANY WORDS so many times, that
I'M OUTTA HERE..
Hi Meghan, Thank you so much for this video. I knew as soon as I started watching it that it was going to be good and full of excellent advice. Here in South Australia food is getting more expensive. It is because of the floods interstate. I have subscribed to your channel and I look forward to future videos. With best wishes from Ann (age 79). ps you are never too old to learn.
Hi Meghan, if I may request a topic for a future video: perhaps about thyroid issues and autoimmune conditions? Thank you kindly!
Great advice! Loved the video 😁
One thing we do is join a bulk grocery store ie Sams for certain items that we/someone would buy a lot of: yogurt, eggs, veggies etc.
Love the video! thanks for putting this all into a list 🙂
Collecting points is a great way to save too! in Canada Loblaws companies have PC points which are a great way to earn points to spend at any of the stores (superstore, no frills, maxi, shoppers, extra foods) and they give you points offers based on what you regularly buy, Sobey/safeway also has airmiles (currently) and is switching to scene+ points this fall which are also a good way to collect points toward your groceries!
organic is not better. not for you, not for the planet. organic is a scam -.- I never buy it. I am also repelled by "no gmo" labels on products but with soy you cannot avoid it, ugh. we don't have problem eating strawberries and bananas and they are gmo foods.
Oh my goodness i just love your tips❤️
As a Christian I just want to say you have an awesome last name :))))
Great video thanks! Do you have suggestions on saving money on toiletries, soaps, makeup, etc.?
I want to love and eat beans more. But they don't love me back. 😣 I hope with time and more gut healing I can have them more often.
Thank for watching love mehgan beautiful look beautiful video beautiful pretty woman cooking volg like you 😘❤️❤️❤️🌺🌺🌺🌺🌼🌼🌼🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸
Dried beans can also be pressure cooked to cut down cooking time. 20-30 mins on pressure cook. Saves money in energy too.
Frozen fruit is such a win. Frozen banana is like ice cream when eaten straight from the freezer. And frozen blueberries are like sorbet. And served on cereal with milk turns the milk lilac which is really satisfying. No need to defrost.
Hi just subscribed saw your wonderful vlog an lm trying to improve how much l buy at the supermarket, thanks for the wonderful tips lm surely goin to use,👍❤❤❤❤
awesome tips, Meghan! grocery shopping is my favorite way to save on our budget.
This is great! My kids are so fussy and meals can be so frustrating but meal plans have made my life easier 🙌🏽
Cooking from scratch is key for me. Tomato sauce & one ingredient= food. My leftovers are always repurposed to salads, pizza or omelette. Beans and lentils are my favourite. Great video ❣️
I can my own foods. It's very cost effective & you know what is in your foods. I also make my own broths & stocks & grow my own herbs. Oats make a great filler for meatloaf, meat balls, Salisbury steak/gravy. You can do a lot with potatoes, brown beans, and cornmeal. Chicken & dumplings are cheap.
I really like your video! The weird thing is that it only gave me the option of a thumbs down and not a thumbs up. But great tips!
I appreciate you saying people should eat less meat. I of course think people shouldn’t eat meat, but, so many people say that being vegan is expensive, when actually it’s the meat, fish, and dairy that’s the most expensive!
Your intro is painfully long
Ok those frozen fruit and veggie bags are soooo satisfying idk why hahaha
Hey❤️ I may not know you personally however I care about you deeply because I know how much you mean to Jesus Christ The King of ALL CREATION . I want to tell you that Jesus Christ loves you so much, he died for our sins so that whoever believes in him wouldn’t have to perish in hell but instead have eternal life in heaven. You need to understand that HEAVEN and HELL are 1000% REAL they aren’t imaginary , and hell is a horrible place I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. God doesn’t want you to end up there he wants you in heaven and so he is giving you a chance to accept the sacrifice of his son Jesus Christ and be saved. Day by Day the world is falling apart because we are literally living in the last days of Earth there is no doubt or debate about it, Jesus Christ is coming faster then you think to bring judgement to the world and to destroy it. This really is URGENT, it’s NOT A JOKE ,Tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone, you can be alive one minute and gone the next, please take this opportunity to be on the side of Mercy confess your sins and wicked ways to Jesus , sincerely REPENT/turn away from them, ask for his forgiveness, and be baptized at a real bible believing church- ask him to enter your heart and to be your Lord and Savior before it is too late , truly believe in him and he WILL do it because it is his promise. It’s important that you seek the righteous and Holy path of the Most high God so that you may inherit eternal life and be spared of Hell fire. You can begin a new life in Christ and have a genuine relationship with him, please repent. Jesus changed my life and he will change yours too🥰, He is coming NOW! not SOON- when you least expect it!, therefore repent and make sure you are prepared. May the Lord be with you eternally💕🙏🏾
#1 is the best tip for eating healthful on a budget. #2 Eat seasonally.
Love 💕 your video 🛒🥬
Love your top where is it from?
You alluded to this, but you could make a simple price chart for your most-purchased fruits and vegetables, and even other items. Write them on an index card or your phone alphabetically and create a little chart of their prices at the stores you visit. That will help you to spot a great price quickly and stock up. You can alter your little chart as needed. I find it useful.
Great list!
My extra tip no. 1 would be to learn in what way you can use the parts of your food that you would normally put into compost or the trash. E.g. cauliflower leaves and stems can be used in the same way as the florets, they just may have to be cooked a minute longer. Same goes for broccoli, fennel etc. The stems of more soft/delicate herbs, think parsley, basil, coriander, can be used as well – just make sure you chop them up really well.
Extra tip no. 2: regrow lettuce and spring onions. Just save the last two to three inches, put the freshly cut bottom into water until roots start to form and then put it into some soil. I usually get three more rounds out of every head of salad and bunch of spring onions that I buy.
My suggestion is purchasing your protein & planning to use the leftovers in another meal. For example when we have a pot roast, we always get a roast that will yield enough leftovers to make roast beef hash. Another leftover is homemade spaghetti sauce & I make lasagna with the leftovers . You can do the same with chicken, bake extra to turn into a casserole or use in a salad or soup. Also you can easily freeze these to have another day. There are a lot of meals you can make with spaghetti sauce. One other thing is double your recipes, like chili, soups etc & freeze the extra to have for another day. Then all you need to do is thaw it & heat it up. So after almost 50 years of cooking for my family, these are ways that I have learned that will save a few dollars & make my time in the kitchen more efficient.
Women we help you kindly
The only other tip I would say is ship Monday and Wednesdays for best sale days. Get to know your produce person at the store. And be very mindful of which grocery stores you shop in. I have one shop for produce, once for house hold goods, one for nuts in bulk. They are all just within a mile or so of one another but prices are very different at each one
I watch a TON of you tube videos. This by far was the most practical and really helpful. I do all do these tips but to hear them again in one video is nice. And I think so many people need help with their budgets and food shopping. Thank you for getting out the message we can eat good healthy food on a budget ❤️
All great advice!! My tip would also be to give yourself time to learn how to implement these changes! It may seem overwhelming at the beginning, but at some point you get into a good routine that suits your life and diet, and start to know what good prices are for different types of food and you can be confident in your choices. The inflation has kind of forced me to learn how to save money on food while still managing to take into account the other things I care about when it comes to food: quality, health, and ethics. Besides saving money I am more creative in my cooking, trying new things, and eating more seasonal too! It is awesome. I feel like I have learned skills for life!
Wow! Thank you! I felt so lost when it came to healthy meal prep on a budget. This video helped out!
Your video just showed up in my feed. I love shopping on a budget for healthy food on a budget. Eating meat sparingly has been the best game changer. Also on Thursday mornings is when the meat department puts out it's discount meats at one if my local stores so I will go shopping then . I have scored the organic , boneless, skinless chicken thighs and breasts for $3 a package , one pound squares of the organic grass fed beef for $3.99 each, ground organic ground turkey packages for $1.50. I end up stocking the freezer and it will last for 4 months worth of meals. Also produce department will have a discount bin that has mesh bags of produce that needs to be eaten within the next 3 to 4 days and each bag is $1 . They also have a clearance table that has great offerings as well. I have the rewards card and will upload coupons to it. It is great because we will get the store brand of organic foods which are amazing. So because we use our rewards card, we will start getting more coupons for the organic things we purchase the most as well as coupons for the meat department. The canned organic tomato products are .65 each so because I buy those frequently I now have $1.00 off of 4 which brings the price down on those 4 cans to .40 cents. I love showing my family and friends how eating healthy can be done affordablely so there is no excuse. Thank you for showing people this. I am glad your channel showed up on my feed. I subscribed and am looking forward to seeing more of your videos 💕
Great video! I’d love to know what grocery store you’re at. It looks like lots of grains and legumes in large bags.
