My favourite thing I see at the gym is what I called “water skiing”. It’s when you see someone on a treadmill with a high incline holding onto the machine so that their body is perpendicular to the belt. Who the hell walks up a hill like that?

the stair climber machine is an insanely valuable form of exercise. sure it's not the same as real stairs or sprinting hills, but the amount of large muscle compound movement and cardio you can get done in 30 minutes of stair climber, especially compared with the ease and accessibility is amazing. you can manipulate whatever level you want. want to get heart rate up to 160-180 for 30 minutes straight? super easy to do on the stair climber.

Cardio machines are beneficial for warming up and cardio work, especially for those that have difficulty with other forms of cardio. I personally like the machines that get both upper and lower body involved together. They're also generally easier on the joints then running and easier to use for those with back issues.
I'd listen to a boxer if you want cardio advice.

Jogging is the best conditioning tool period. Learn to jog correctly, build your aerobic base, my joints and body have NEVER felt better.
